I like that my dental hygienist's name is Linda. I don't encounter many Lindas these days. When I moved to Savannah in 1993, there was a band called City of Lindas. Some of the people in that band became my first friends here.

I spent the morning helping with a trail cleanup. By helping, I mean I hung out at the table where bags and trash grabbers were being distributed and I talked with a friend.

Remembering when professional baseball was played several times a week in a historic stadium just a short walk from my house. Grayson Stadium is still there, but these days it sits empty most of the time. ⚾
A sign at Savannah, Georgia's Grayson Stadium advertising South Atlantic League championship games pitting the Savannah Sand Gnats against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. The Sand Gnats left Savannah to become the Columbia Fireflies. The stadium is used ocassionally as the "home field" for the Savannah Bananas, but it sits empty most of the time. I’ve lived here more than 30 years and I’ve never heard more fighter jet traffic over Savannah, Georgia as I have recent months. I’m used to upticks during exercises at the Air Dominance Center, but the noise seems almost constant these days.
