Every time I get an EV press car, I learn something new. I recently tested New York City 's first lamppost EV charger in Brooklyn. A clever approach to curbside charging with faster deployment and lower costs by making use of existing infrastructure like streetlights. Full story in comments.

So £1.5 billion will save the high street? No way. Much more action is necessary. Add an additional £2 for same day / next day delivery and £1 for other. Allow small shops to split multi-packs and charge what they like for individual items. Why buy 6 razors on holiday when you only want one?

If you had a free national social care service, it wouldn’t be an inheritance tax, it’d be an inheritance protection tax - a means by which inheritances weren’t burnt through by the current care lottery. There’s a way to make this appeal to self interest.

People are not aware of this. The Ofgen price caps are announced as a combined amount but electricity is becoming much more competitive against gas. Maybe the government doesn't want to be too heavily seen as anti-gas.

This is a low key tragedy. A broad consensus torched by a handful of ideologues and opportunists who do not even understand what net zero target is and why it was adopted. The reality is temperatures will continue to spiral until we reach net zero or civilisation collapses, whichever comes first.
