The deal used to be: poets do all the creative work plus the emotionally taxing labor of submitting & enduring rejections. In exchange journals offered the chance for poems to be read by a wide audience. Now the deal is I do that labor PLUS fund the journal for maybe 20 people reading? No thanks.

I'd have to go back and reread the thread to remember why I was comparing algorithms acted out by human systems vs. programmed algorithms, then we'd have to go back & forth a bit to create that understanding & doesn't that sound exhausting?
