As an American I disapprove of Trump's actions, and do not agree with the USA going to war. This is me speaking out against it in protest. I know it's not much, but at least it's more than most Russians or Israeli have done against their leader.

This is shameful that Trump started a war with Venezuela. I had a feeling it would happen after the gave out the military divided checks. But I was hoping he wouldn't actually pull the trigger. It's really a sad state in the world today.

Here's the problem. Trump wants a quick peace with no guarantees that it'll be lasting peace. Zelenskyy has tried that already and knows Putin cannot be trusted. He knows Ukraine needs long lasting, guaranteed peace. Trump/Vance just want a quick PR win *saying* they ended the war.

It'll probably take months, if not years for people to actually starve, as most USAID programs are long term plans for things like food stability and crop sustainability. But there will be food shortages in Africa and the Middle East and it will lead to more global conflicts and wars over it.

For context, I have friends who work for USAID in Ukraine. They're currently furloughed and waiting around Poland to see what will happen next. They worked in the Harvest Program which helps farmers with their wheat crops. "An unstable food supply, leads to an unstable world which is bad for US."

I have friends who work for USAID in Ukraine. They work with local farmers to make sure wheat crops continue to harvest during Russia's invasion. I asked him, "Why does that benefit the USA?" He replied simply, "Famine creates Dictators, wars, and instability in the world, we don't want that."
