Recently, I thought, "Why am I creating so many Colab notebooks for things that could be Chrome extensions?" Thus, I've published my first Chrome extension! chromewebstore.google.com/detail/web-c... All it does it copy the text on the page. It also allows you to filter out certain HTML5 tags.

Ah, I wish I knew that was an option. While I’m primarily a SEO, a good chunk of my private consulting comes from my 20+ years as a web dev and WordPress is my specialty. So yeah, you could say i have stable in this too. I hope Matt gets what’s coming to him.

I don’t think you were necessarily wrong there either though. It sounded like it can be both depending on which side of the bed the algo woke up on.

The limit logins isn’t by IP address but by username and it’s unlikely to figure out the password in 3-5 attempts. I just remove the xmlrpc all together.

Brute force shouldn’t be happening in login pages. The login limits are set at default. However, brute forcing xmlrcp.php is still very possible.

I’ve just created a killer new way to automate blog auditing. Looking to pressure test this by having a few SEOs look at the results output. Any takers to volunteer a website to test it on? Results will be emailed directly and not shared publicly nor stored online.

Has anyone seen fragment handles that link to child pages instead of the typical bookmark jump links? What’s interesting is that this site I found it on has a table of contents but it links to separate pages instead of traditional jump links.

Smart approach. I typically have a time limit on how long it takes me to automate something. If I’m up til midnight tweaking some Python or trying different libraries, I gotta pass for the sake of sanity.

Right? It’s kind of like the crunchy people who make their own cereal for less quantity and more work. But I could also see vanilla wafers homemade being very good.

I rarely see question headers playing much effect unless it’s a hyper competitive query. I’ve tinkered with doing that for general content quality and ranking purposes though.

I get that, but investing in even the fundamentals through a consultant (NOT AN AGENCY) can help multiply your organic leads for a fraction of a cost. Even a one-time project could get you setup for more success. Unless you’re worried about growing too fast and not being able to fulfill orders.
