I’m begging conferences to provide printed programs and clear signage onsite and not just rely on apps. I honestly cannot cognitively follow the schedule in the #INSAR2026 app, nor figure out where to go, nor tell what is a session, poster presentation, or something else.

It’s encouraging to see a packed room for the Autistic People’s Views panel (@drstevenkapp.bsky.social) at #INSAR2026. I’ll note the majority here are YOUNG autism researchers (not veterans). That’s such an apt commentary on the past/current state of autism research, but also its hopeful future.

My hunch (I haven’t yet seen research in this regard) is that the ABA industry’s focus on profit maximization may mean that insurance mandates could very well be degrading the quality of services provided to autistic individuals. #INSAR2026

Did you honestly read the the entire 320 Articles and Nine (9) Annexes of the United Nations Charter of the Law of the Sea in the past six minutes before asserting your point? It’s UNCLOS Articles 35(c) and 37–44 is that governs here; long understood by the international community.

The Straight of Hormuz is an international body of water. All ships from every country have right of passage. No country, including Iran, may legally require permission or verification according to the UN Conv. on the Law of the Sea. If Iran is doing this, that would be illegal under maritime law.

At #INSAR2025, Drexel University is presenting research on how to effectively adapt cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for autistic youth. The research team is neurodiverse—including autistic researchers—and it shows in the outstanding quality of their study design. 🙌♾️🔬

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s any inherent biological/genetic factor that prevents a person from attending #INSAR2025. Did I miss a poster on that?! Maybe instead of blaming the autistic person we should be examining what WE ARE DOING to prevent their participation.

I believe there’s a deeper story. I’ve started mapping out the funding sources of the SIGs, posters, and keynotes at #INSAR2025 specifically promoting the term (or using “copy and paste” language about the Lancet in their descriptions) and encourage others to do the same.

Well, it IS a year…just not the year I meant! #2017 I have dyscalculia, and intend to transpose numbers. At #INSAR2025 this means that I have now three times shown up for sessions AFTER THEY CONCLUDED thinking I was early. 😂
