Just had my figures through. Thanks to everyone who has bought my stuff. Had an absolute horrible 2026, its still biting, but the writing keeps me sane, and when people buy a few even better! Thanks x

Finished my first book of 2026. A short story about Diego Maradona's last night in Naples before leaving in 91. A crazy evening amid the back alleys as Diego vanishes & the Camorra & police attempt to find him! A riot to write. Hope I've got my mojo back. On Amazon tomorrow.

A message from mum. She would like to thank everyone for coming to help say goodbye to Johnny at the funeral. Also, to say thanks for everyone who donated to the Multiple Myeloma charity for which we raised £400. Johnny would have loved the day, many tears but also a few beers❤️

Before the 1986 quarter-final against Argentina, former England manager Ron Greenwood was asked what was the best way to stop Maradona? ''Well first you pull out a gun!'' he replied! Imagine such a scenario today? This game is going to be monumental. amazon.co.uk/dp/B0H8MMTRK...

Really enjoying the world cup. Kind of feels like my old fella left it behind to help me chill. Missing his whatsapp messages during & after the game, half expect my phone to still go. But, he's at peace now watching above with a coupla beers, his mates & a grand old view!❤️

Just to let people know our dad (Johnny) passed away early this morning. He was peaceful at the end. Dad was never one for fuss, even though there’s a million things I could say about him I’m going to keep it short. We all loved him to the moon and back.❤️

Been updating my writing cv this morning. If it was anyone else I'd think this fella is making it up. And I've left stuff out! Thought after this year's shenanigans I'd lose a bit of heart and energy but it's back now. Despite everything onwards and hopefully upwards!

Since diagnosed with a right load of crap my writing output has vanished, but can't thank people enough for buying my stuff. Sold more when quiet! Self-publishing is a blessing & a curse at times. But for me at my age most unlikely career i ever thought i'd have. But still here!

Abide With Me still my favourite moment of cup final day. Nothing wrong with tradition, hopefully they don't jazz it up and just let the band play and the fans sing.

Five done, fifty five to go! Set myself a challenge to get back to normal. 2026 has so far been horrific but writing is for me the best medication. Will release all in one go. Time and health are the most precious things we possess. Don't waste either is what I've learnt.

The most famous warm-up in football history. On this day in 1989, Napoli faced Bayern Munich at Olimpiastadion in Munich and Diego (inadvertently) created a piece of art for the ages 🥹

I always thought when writing this it would be so apt to end with a line from the novel, on whose title the book gratefully borrowed. Referencing Sir Matt and ten years on from Munich... ''I wish you to know that you have been the last dream of my soul.'' A Tale Of Two Cities ❤️

My Matt Busby-George Best Book/play is coming along nicely. Once you catch the rhythm of the two men chatting, the words flow. Going to be a sea of tears this, but also etched with lots of laughter. Like Matt and Jimmy nothing will get left on the page.

Following on from my Sir Matt and Jimmy. Next up Sir Matt and George. The story is set in 1991 at Sir Matt's Old Trafford testimonial. The two come together after the game and sat in an empty stadium they simply chat. "Scattered Pictures" Coming soon.
