An image showing the street entrance of a small cafe in a large glass office building. The large windows reflect the trees lining the sidewalk and another building across the street, along with a pedestrian checking his phone as he walks along. The image was taken using a camera setting that renders the scene in black & white except for one color, in this case blue. I wanted to isolate the blue design above the cafe's name, and I think that works well here. The midday sun creates some complimentary shadows, which always attracts my attention.

I agree re/the commute - I rode the bus, Green Line, & train over the years, and all had their various nightmares. I envy your office view. Mine was initially in Post Office Square, facing another building, then in Downtown Crossing...facing another building. But ❤️'d the lunchtime walks!!!

Loved my K-3 (as the K-10 before it), but it seemed to get heavier as I got older, so I ventured into the mirrorless/Fuji universe, and very happy with that decision. I worked in Boston for some 35 years, and it's always nice to chat w/someone who knows the city. 🙏

This destroyer was named after Capt. Cassin Young, a Medal of Honor recipient for his actions during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and who was later killed in action in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal in November, 1942, where he was in command of the heavy cruiser USS San Francisco.
