The new musical version of #MidnightCowboy opens in London's West End soon; I've created a medley for band featuring the evocative harmonica theme by John Barry, as well as the famous Nilsson song 'Everybody's Talkin'... Hope you like it. 😊 youtu.be/KWoUyVpCIBM?...

My little tribute to the wonderful #MarianneFaithfull, her most famous song 'As Tears Go By', written by The Rolling Stones (and eventually recorded by them), I think this haunting melody suits the sound of the cor anglais perfectly. youtu.be/A8_gIF3KXF0

I commented on a post by Classic FM in response to their '20 best pieces of classical Christmas music', of which just two were by women composers, and received feedback from someone that claimed I didn't understand DEI. I'm confused and upset and don't know how to respond, if I do at all... 😢

Anyone up for a bit of nostalgia? I've just published a band arrangement of the lovely theme from 'Paddington Bear' by Herbert Chappell... instantly takes you back in time, if you're of a certain age: Paddington Bear Theme ('Size Ten Shuffle') (Herbert Chappell) (Concert Band) youtu.be/8GpiikwKT9o

Spotted #PetShopBoys on Strictly over the weekend? Here's my arrangement of 'All The Young Dudes', freshly published for concert band and based on their performance of it in BBC Radio 2's Piano Room earlier this year: youtu.be/U_cWv7c5PuQ?...

Little triumphs: I've been learning to ring our local church bells (St Barts, Royal Wootton Bassett) with @thevicarofhell.bsky.social and today, I was asked to ring twice before the Sunday service 😊 Not bad for a relative beginner. Lots more to learn still, but a great start. 🔔🔔

A wonderful night of music making with the fabulous Malmesbury Concert Band, for their 'Film Night Cabaret', dressed as Beetlejuice, naturally. 😊 The presentation of an 'Oscar' for my film music arrangements during the concert was a lovely surprise.

Hiya! Looking forward to meeting likeminded folks on here and sharing life's little moments. By the way, this is probably about as large as my beard will get, it's a fairly new thing for me to try... 😊
