Every time Yusuf is on TV or radio, the first question should be, "As an unelected bureaucrat, how is your position different from the EU Commission?"

The much vaunted Reform Ltd vetting process strikes again! 🤣🤣🤣

Simon Clarke doesn't remember 1979. He wasn't born until 5 years later. 🤫

I've been boycotting Starbucks for years! But mainly because their coffee is overpriced muck. Even Costa is better.

If people don't want to pay tax to make this country function and help out the rest of society and particularly those who need help most... then maybe they should move to Dubai and stop bleating about it. Really sick to death of it.

It doesn't matter. He said it. Whether or not it's true (latest reports say they are all UK citizens from London) is irrelevant. His followers will add it to their bigotry and dig in deeper.

I assume that's since the elections in May. So they're losing them faster than they're being elected.

I'm not going to read the Torygraph, but I'm struggling to understand the logic. I'd have thought fewer cars on the road would leave more space for his millionairemobile.

I just Googled, and it's hard to be sure, but Google says "at least 10". So they're down by 3.

Well he *is* Boris the Liar. It's like the old fable about the scorpion that needed to cross the river ...

It's now at over 5500 votes and 78% yes 22% no.

As a matter of interest, how many councillors did Reform Ltd lose to suspensions, expulsions and resignations in that time?

The Brexit vote was in 2016, asylum seekers started arriving in small boats around 2018, after we had left the Dublin accord.

John Hull @johnhull.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
He is right in this case though. Small boat crossings are down over 40% in the last year. There were no small boat crossings before Boris the Liar's Brexit.

Everything is legal, unless there's a law to say it isn't. You don't need a law to say something is legal.

John Hull @johnhull.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
There is no grey. That's what case law is for. If a truffle is a type of mushroom it's caught, if it isn't a type of mushroom it's not. In the case of Angela Raynor it was decided that there was no offence. Should she have been more careful? Yes. Did it look bad? Yes. Did she commit an offence? No.

Yeah, but on the other side of the scale, they took some flags off council buildings. 🤫

Again. She was suitably punished for her lack of judgement. I'm still waiting to see who decides the punishment for Fauxrage. What's the mechanism within the "party" for holding him to account?

She did wrong, and paid a price. Only you are talking about "little crimes". If the punishment for not paying the right amount of tax on a house purchase is public humiliation and loss of your position, then what's the punishment for accepting millions of pounds in dodgy money?
121
John Hull @johnhull.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
You're really comparing accepting poor advice without asking more questions, in relation to a few thousand pounds, to accepting bribes for millions?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm not defending her, she had to resign, but who's going to force the majority shareholder's resignation?

Something is either legal or illegal. It can't be a crime and not a crime.

Gambling on a Crown Court jury having enough idiots to create a hung jury. If he loses that bet, it means a longer sentence.

Laura Kuenssberg asks if it bothers Labour's Bridget Phillipson that people who create jobs and pay a lot of tax, citing, Jim Ratcliffe, move abroad - except, that's not the full story. My View: Did you know companies owned by Jim Ratcliffe have received public support worth around £630 million?

Yes. That's the latest groupthink. The problem with giving bigots what they want is that they always want more. Reduce the boats - one is too many No boats coming - what about the ones already here They're being sent back - I'm still seeing brown people ...

In May of 1940 there was a mass panic in Britain - stirred up by the tabloid press - about 'fighting aged men' who had come to Britain as 'refugees' posing a threat to the women and children of this country - and essentially forming a 'fifth column' that could, at any moment rise up against everyone

£72 million from 2 individuals - both of whom have faced questions about money laundering, both of whom live/d overseas to avoid tax - is not compatible with democracy. I don't care if it's Reform, Labour or whoever. We can't function like this. Not for long. So how do we fix it? My plan:

Followed by Harborne saying, "I'll see your thirty-six". So with around £80 million in the account, is it time for Reform Ltd to be wound up, and its assets split between the shareholders?

It's not for the government to say. Companies House has rules and guidelines on what constitutes a fit and proper person. The government doesn't have a say, neither do MPs in general.

Absolutely! Mens rea (a guilty mind) is a defining factor in most (but not all offences). It comes before the Actus Reus (the guilty act).

As art the statue is interesting (I'm not particularly knowledgeable on statues). The left hand bugs me a bit (maybe that's deliberate), but if it's "filthy" then that could only be the pigeons in Trafalgar Square at fault. 😁
