If we're including anime, I *have* to give them to Digimon & Shaman King. Growing up with that was some of the most hype stuff to get me into the shows. But if we're just sticking to regular TV Shows & Cartoons, Dan VS. All the intros change slightly, but gosh are they short and simple in premise.

I think the usage of tails would have some sort of regulations to them. i.e. someone like Tangle just can't extend it past the normal length it's at but can still use it to whack it But someone like Knuckles wouldn't have that regulation since, while kinda long, isn't exactly practical

I'd argue Sonic Riders would be counted as a type of sport. A racing sport like Nascar, sure, but still one. I think they'd also have something like Soccer, but with a large field and more obstacles where they have to keep the ball from hitting said obstacles AND still not using hands & arms.

I still have yet to play Shovel Knight in its entirety, but Mina interests me enough to give it a fair shot. It and the recent Monster Crown Sin Eater both intrigue me due to their art styles and gameplay depth despite being "retro" as some would call it.

Depends on the kind of games you'd really enjoy. If ya stick to the ones that are official / supported, a good pairing would be Kingdom Hearts 2. But if you want to run unsupported games, I'd recommend adding in Hades.
