There is a narrow path where we actually pull this off. Instead of investing in an overbuilt grid and gas fleet, we deploy and aggregate local solar and storage. Instead of walking back climate commitments, we realize that the tech we've been incentivizing is the cheapest and fastest.

In Broadview, IL this morning outside Chicago— Federal agents have kidnapped hundreds of immigrants in recent weeks. Outside the ICE processing center here, protesters are gathered for another Friday morning demo. Last week's ended in tear gas and arrests. ICE vans periodically rolling in.

and leaving students to suffer from discrimination, sexual

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
