Best player abruptly retires 3 game in is a good excuse tho it downplays the magnitude of their actual issues. By game 2 I was wishing we would play the whole 2nd string oline that did ok in the preseason to see what they could do given the obvious inability of the starters to execute the new scheme

Everyone keeps saying the Eagles don’t have an offensive identity. I think they want to live out of play action. But the Oline & tight ends have not been up to the task of blocking for it so opponents just blitz everything and blow Hurts and RBs up. Personnel can’t execute desired identity.

You missed the larger context. They’ve not been able to execute anything close to that block with a TE for the last 2 seasons. Plays have a chance to work if you execute 100% properly but they’ve proven time & again including multiple times in the ONLY TWO GAMES they played this year that they can’t

I disagree. No sacks, no turnovers, poor safety play again. Missed tackles. No fire, no pressure. The offensive played pretty good before halftime but the D did nothing except give Case Freaking Keenum confidence and hope.

They changed their entire blocking scheme, then didn’t give the first team oline any live game reps in the preseason, THEN changed the starters at 2 positions! Last year injuries did them in but this year it’s poor coaching decisions.

That was a great team, but I think we tend to look at them through green colored glasses. They didn’t start off great things came together around the run game. Still they were lucky to beat the Rams and then they kind of rolled from there.

What’s the defense. None of them run to the ball. Only the guy that’s closest to the ball ever makes a tackle and if he misses then someone 5 yards later possibly does it. Seems like there’s no intensity. Really missing the Nakobe today.
