Thanks! I was actually just looking into this the other day, July would mark 2 years. As for how far until launch. Well I recently ran out of savings so I had to pick up work which is really slowing down progress. I want to get something out before that 2 year mark hits!

Tried to get a physics based Grappling hook with rotational retracting. But... the Physics engine didn't like it. Anyone have any quick fixes? How do you all deal with really long 2D levels, that have parallaxing foregrounds and backgrounds. Every orthographic issue seems to have issues when you have a long level. I feel like the only way is a perspective camera set up. But that has its own issues. #indiedev #gamedev #2Dgame #2d #Unity2d

I never really figured it out, other then just that Unity 6 editor does not like my computer. When I compiled the game I was running at like 500-1000fps so... Its not the game's performance, so I dont think it wise I spend much more time on it. Currently I can hold 25fps in Maximized play mode.

Yes just editor. Frame time in compiled builds is Unity6 - 1.8ms. 2022 - 2.4ms. so it's actually better preforming on 6. But in the editor it's the other way around. And I'm my small demo scene I am already hitting lows in the 20s for fps, so... It's already close to unplayable.

I've been testing out #Unity6, and with identical builds, it's terrible performance in play mode, 70fps compared to 120 in 2022.x.xx build performance is over 500fps on both. Is anyone else struggling with #Unity 6 editor? #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #gaming #solodev #gamedevs
