Two years ago today I signed a bill making Minnesota the first state to codify abortion rights after the fall of Roe v. Wade. Politicians across the nation turned back the clock on reproductive rights. But here in Minnesota, we trust people to make their own decisions.

In 2004, I interviewed for a teaching position. The principal asked me how many kids I had. I answered. He asked if I was planning to have more —said he couldn’t afford to have another teacher out on maternity leave. This is why women need protections, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.

There’s a lot of confusion over Biden’s #era announcement and what it actually means—including whether action from the National Archivist is needed. One interesting take I just got is that Biden has actually usurped the archivist and given the required notice to the states himself. So it’s done.
