Received a company-wide email just now. Appears my employer has decided to join other institutions with adding MLK Jr Day & Presidents Day to our “company observed paid holidays” list beginning next year. That jump us from 7 to 9 paid holidays—or, 2 more chances to gain extra working the holidays.

I appreciate that. What made this even more off-kilter for me is that their liking of properties like Star Trek & Doctor Who rivaled mine. I wonder where they lost the lessons those stories we enjoyed instilled in us…?

Now they’re back and acting contrite, at least, in words on a screen. I’ve let the conversation sit without replying back for a while at this point (nearly a day). Needing tine to truly consider if it’s worth the effort… **Just airing my brain out at the moment in here.
