Everyone involved with this, including the judge, should be disbarred for misconduct. “I feel that that was genuine.” It’s literally not. It’s literally artificial. You should not be a judge.
At the time of the sentencing, the judge who oversaw the case, Todd Lang, seemed to appreciate the use of Al.

"I loved that Al, thank you for that. As angry as you are, as justifiably angry as the family is, I heard the forgiveness," Judge Lang said. "I feel that that was genuine."

I mean, ok, but I like my idea more.
Small Mercies were an Australian alternative rock band from Brisbane, Queensland. They formed in
1997. They used the names, Seventh Avenue and Blaik, before adopting Small Mercies in 2004. Their final line-up was Steve Blaik on lead vocals and guitar, Marty O'Brien on drums, Danny Procopis on lead guitar, and Jeff Reeves on bass guitar. Small Mercies released two EPs, Is This Life? (2003) and Off the Record (2004), and one studio album, Beautiful Hum (May 2008). Their highest charting release, "Innocent" (May 2007), reached the ARIA Singles Chart Top 40 and was nominated at the ARIA Music Awards of 2007 for Breakthrough Artist
- Single. By December 2010, the group had disbanded.

Lazy hackers.
A Bluesky profile for a person with a PFP of a fairly generic (sorry, real Brian) middle-aged white man, the handle is “@briantnjordan.bsky.social,” and the account joined in December 2023.

But the name is “Julie” and the rest of the profile and the pinned post are pretending to be “Julie.”

In other words, someone has likely hacked Brian’s account and lazily turned it into “Julie’s” account to spam people.

Also also today, I made a rye sourdough loaf that was not enough for the 13” Pullman but was too much for the 9” Pullman. What I should’ve done was leave the lid off the 9” and let it have a round top, but instead I let all that internal steam cave the thing in. Oops. Tastes fine!
A loaf of dark rye bread made in a Pullman loaf pan, so it’s square on the short end. It’s cooling on a wire rack. The corners are pretty dark, and the sides have craters because there was too much dough for the closed pan. The top of a loaf of dark rye sourdough bread, showing a big crater because the steam built up and pushed the center down. A dark rye sourdough loaf sliced in half. It’s upside down here, so the big crater in the top from baking too much dough in a closed Pullman pan is now at the bottom.

Also today, I made a giant sourdough loaf. And I put a rebel loon in it. Hard to tell in pictures. (Honestly, it’s hard to tell in person now that it’s baked.) Going to keep iterating on that.

A closeup of the baked sourdough loaf with the rebel loon design sliced into it. I tried to use the thermometer in such a way that it would poke a hole roughly where the red eye of the loon should be, but it caved in the loon head. Oops.

Kinda feeling a bit burnt out on sourdough this week (I’ll get back on it soon), so today (*yesterday, but Bluesky wouldn’t let me post images) it’s a whole-wheat loaf with red bulgur and, oh boy, is it tasty. Just a bit of honey, but it’s a good level of sweetness.

St Anthony Park Frattallone’s closing update from the Park Bugle.
A newspaper article with the following details:

OCTOBER 2026 • PARK BUGLE
Frattallone's to close its store on Como Avenue
By Bill Brady

For space purposes, the text of the article will appear in the following images’ alt texts. After nearly a decade of operation, the Frattallone's Hardware & Garden store in St. Anthony Park will be closing by the end of November.

Signs went up on the storefront at 2286 Como Ave. in mid-September, announcing 30 percent off all sales until the inventory is depleted. Frattallone's Hardware, which owns the building, is looking to either sell or lease it to a new tenant as soon as possible.

Mike Frattallone, senior vice president of Frattallone's Hardware, called the decision to close "painful," but necessary, because the location's square footage ultimately proved too small to be successful.

"It's just not big enough for us to do what we do well in our other locations," he said. "We couldn't feature bigger things, like grills, lawn and garden and paint—things we call 'cherry on top' departments.
We could carry some of that, but not enough to be a go-to place for those things."

The decision was especially difficult for the Frattallones because they grew up just down the road on California Avenue in Falcon Heights. "I absolutely love the
neighborhood,” he said. The going-out-of-business sign on the storefront notes that "We’re looking for a new location in this area." Frattallone admits, though, that it's a tall order.

"It's very difficult to find a lot of the right size in that area," he said, "but we're open to listening."

They are also listening to offers from parties interested in taking over the Como Avenue building.

"We would love to sell building or find a new tenant," he said. "We've had some good prospects looking at it already."

Bill Brady is associate editor of the Park Bugle

Goffe is not the only member of the original cast to feature in the series. Willy Wonka actor Gene Wilder "narrates" the show, explaining the various games to contestants.

The actor died in 2016, but his voice has been recreated using Al, which has received some criticism, despite producers obtaining the consent of his estate and approval of his widow Karen B Wilder.

Sourdough starter’s a little, um … enthusiastic today.
