It’s not often I go see a film like Resident Evil in the cinema. I’m not a big horror guy, but I don’t mind zombies/monsters, so figured I’d give this a go. So glad I did! It’s tense, action packed, and surprisingly hilarious. Did a great job conveying the blind panic I feel playing games like this

Can’t wait to dive into the new Fire Emblem!

The Fire Emblem collectors edition stood next to the Mineru’s Construct amiibo.

Managed to snag preorders for the Zelda Switch 2, the Metroid Ravenous Special Edition, the Metroid amiibo, and (at the last minute) the Fire Emblem Collector’s Edition! What a glorious yet terribly expensive time the next few months will be! 😂

Went into this pretty much blind and it’s ended up being one of the best films I’ve seen this year! Completely absurd and hilarious, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The Pokebook is in my hands! I can’t quite believe this is real, but I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve made! Very excited for everyone to start receiving their copies. I’ve just got a few to sign first… 😬

My first experience of Tim Curry was during my Scooby Doo obsessed era growing up. I didn’t know it was him at the time, but both performances stuck with me. Loved him in everything I’ve seen him in since!

Opening Night Live’s a lot nicer when you spend it playing Pokemon Gold. Think I’ve seen 2 games in 2 hours I’m remotely interested in.

Good week for finales that make me cry. Guardians is the perfect capper to that trilogy, and Heartstopper Forever was a beautiful end. Though I’m now feeling incredibly single after watching that 😅 Really just a fantastic expression of queer love!

Heartstopper Forever - 5 Stars

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - 5 Stars

So over the course of this year, as it stands, we’ll have received 8 new games, 2 complete remakes and 6 Switch 2 editions with varying levels of extra content from Nintendo. That’s a new game almost every month! Then there’s all the 3rd party and Indie games. Personally I’m very happy with that!

031

Joe Wescott @joewescott.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Really enjoyed that Nintendo Direct. No doubt Zelda is getting a dedicated Direct later in the year. As someone who finds themselves playing more and more games on Switch 2 despite having the other platforms, it’s cool to see all these different games coming.

010

Joe Wescott @joewescott.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Nintendo Direct tiiiiiiiiiiime!!!!!! 😁

010

Joe Wescott @joewescott.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

I’m sure I’ll be pleasantly surprised by whatever’s in the Nintendo Direct today, but one thing I’m really hoping for is a new game from Monolith Soft. As in a brand new IP! We’ve had a lot of Xenoblade at this point, so I’d like to see them do something new. Also Kid Icarus Uprising!

020

Joe Wescott @joewescott.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

Glad I got one of these a few years back. It just sucks how expensive gaming is now. Growing up I was fortunate enough to get each handheld Nintendo released, and at the very least the new Pokemon games. There are going to be so many kids that miss out on that joy now all for AI crap no one wants

Joe Wescott @joewescott.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

That’s time on one very successful Kickstarter! Thank you so much to everyone who backed, and all the amazing people that have contributed to the book. This means the world to me, and I’m so excited to get this out in to the world!

The Pokemon Adventures Manga takes some wild swings! It’s a unique and exciting take on the Pokemon world, and one I was quite excited to write about. It’s far from the only manga adaptation of the series, but to talk about them all would probably be a book of its own 😅
