52. The Pope's Exorcist (2023) The Vatican's exorcist is tasked with saving a possessed boy, but sins & secrets may be their downfall. Russell Crowe is pretty fun to watch. Over produced modern Hollywood junk food. There's also some cringy hand waving of church atrocities (blame satan nonsense).

51. Queens of the Dead (2025) Drag queens & influencers have to band together to survive a zombie outbreak. Tina Romero's zombie flick is funny & heartfelt. Everything is over the top. Most of the characters were so likable. Katy O'Brian continues to kill it. Has some missteps, but was very fun!

50. It Stains The Sands Red (2016) A woman is chased across the desert by a lone ravenous zombie. Parts of this are good, other parts not so much. After a rough 1st 10 minutes, it actually settles into a long gripping chase. An unnecessary added sexual assault subplot hurt this one for me.

49. Brightburn (2019) An alien child raised as a human discovers he has incredible powers. But he has no intention of being a savior. Never got around to seeing this. More gory than I expected. Decent cast. Overall, it was ok. Nothing I'll need to see again.

48. Elizabeth Harvest (2018) A young woman marries an older scientist & is given a life of luxury. But there's 1 room she is not allowed in. I enjoyed this one a lot. Some great swerves in the story. Continually reveals new twists that make the situation more horrifying.

47. The Dark Tapes (2017) A found footage anthology of various horrors. Not great. Effort was there, but money and refinement were lacking. Enjoyed the 1st stories twist. But rest were bogged down by low quality.

46. The Wraith (1986) A ghostly figure in a futuristic car takes out gang members in a small Arizona town. A really enjoyable bad movie. Never got around to watching it. Silly, but surprisingly heartfelt at times. 80s cheese at it's cheesiest.

The app itself is excellent so far. Smooth and easy to setup and use. The 1 game I really wanted to play doesn't seem to work just yet (Battletoads), but I'm hoping that after a few updates, it will be playable.

45. The Hidden (1987) Seemingly random citizens suddenly turn violent, while a cop & a strange FBI agent track investigate. Hadn't seen this one in near 30 years. Just a blast from start to finish. Creepy aliens, gory shootouts, and Kyle MacLachlan as eccentric as ever.

44. The Monster Within (2026) A man inherits a farm with a monstrous, and hungry, secret. Give whoever cut this trailer a raise, and a big one. Decent trailer hides a pretty bad movie. Near unwatchable in fact. In all honesty, I didn't make it to the finish line on this one.

43. Without Name (2016) A troubled land surveyor sees strange silhouettes in the woods on his latest job site. It's mostly ok, until I realized there was no pay off to be had. It just really goes nowhere and gets less interesting as the movie goes on.

42. Redux Redux (2025) A woman travels through alternate dimensions, killing the man who murdered her daughter in each reality. Loved it! The little variations in each universe are done well, and you can sympathize with her grief almost immediately. Good stuff!

41. Crystal Lake Memories (2013) A comprehensive documentary on the Friday the 13th franchise. With Crystal Lake coming out this week, I wanted to revisit this doc. I hadn't watched it in a few years. Still as enjoyable as ever. Fun stories, some good insights, and brutally honest at times.

40. Bug (2006) A new relationship between a waitress & an army vet spirals out of control when he believe there are bugs under his skin. Wonderfully unhinged performances from Ashley Judd & Michael Shannon. The sets are grimy & everything really goes to hell by the end.

39. The Battery (2012) Two former baseball players wonder aimlessly, trying to survive in a world overrun by zombies. A pretty decent, low budget flick. Most of the movie is about 1 guy who accepts the world's fate & the other who tries to ignore it. Nothing new, but enjoyable.

38. Virus:32 (2022) A virus is unleashed that turns those infected violent. But they are incapacitated for 32 seconds after each attack. Loved the unique angle here. Similar infected to 28 Days Later. Some wild scenes. Some dumb character decisions almost derail it, but an overall good time.

37. Cube (1997) A group of strangers are stuck in a massive cube, rigged with deadly traps. One of those movies I never got around to seeing. Enjoyable, even if the characters are mostly annoying. I do enjoy the whole "solve horror with math" angle. Doesn't explain much & doesn't need to.

36. Evil Dead Burn (2026) The Deadites attack a troubled family mourning a loss. A solid horror movie but not a great Evil Dead movie. I think modern writers/directors miss the heart of the Deadites. They're tricksters & pranskters. They torture you by entertaining themselves. That's missing here.

35. Obsession (2026) After using the "One Wish Willow" to have his crush fall in love with him, her obsession turns deadly. Was saving this for my Oct. 1st watch. Probably even better than I had heard. Great build-up, perfect ending. A heartbreaking performance from Inde Navarrette.

34. Sinister (2012) A true crime writer moves his family into the home of a horrific crime. Another one that I needed to revisit, as it's been too long. Still quite enjoyable, and the creepy factor holds up on rewatches. I do wish Ethan Hawk would just turn on a light occasionally.

33. Never Let Go (2024) A mother tries to protect her two sons from an evil force the lurks outside their door. Great performances from the three leads. The story is let down by refusing the commit to its premise. The last 10 minutes has about 2 too many twists.

32. It Follows (2015) A young woman is followed by an unknown supernatural force after a sexual encounter. Have wanted to revisit this one, as I hadn't seen it in a decade. Still holds up great. The score is even better than I remember.

31. The End of Oak St. (2026) A neighborhood is transported to a prehistoric era & a family fights to survive. Not strictly horror, but close enough. Good fun with some fantastic dinosaur action. The end wipes out the emotional journey, which stops it from being a movie that will stay with me.

30. eXistenZ (1999) In a future where games are invasive & reality altering, a game designer is marked for death. On the list for a long time. Cronenberg makes gaming a stomach churning experience. Not as gross as Videodrome, but shares a lot of the same ideas about media's influence on the world.

29. Cat's Eye (1985) A stray cat connects three strange stories. I watched this movie daily as a kid. I hadn't seen it in a long time tho. Still a really fun movie, with stellar effects in the 3rd story. Also has one of the best end credits songs of any horror movie that's forever in my playlist.
