The Dervish Monastery of Blagaj - Built around 1520 at the base of a towering cliff and now only a museum, it was a spiritual haven where the Buna River bursts from a cavern. It served as a traditional sanctuary for Sufi dervishes to gather for prayer, meditation, and chanting

The creepy hangar/bunkers at Željava Airbase were designed in the ol’ Yugoslavian days to withstand the blast from a 20 kiloton nuclear bomb. Now they’re just a wreck on the border of Croatia and Bosnia, still littered with mines from the Yugoslav Wars

Awesome - these are the best ones and easy to google: the iconic bus station, the railroad tracks (John's Track Inn is gone alas), East 9th St Pier, and the fast food stand where Eva works. But the last one, the East Coast Original Custard stand in Parma Heights, is closed for the winter

Agree with the sentiment for a Soule statue. As for where he's buried - Riverside Cemetery - that is one of my favorite places in Denver. The cemetery may be poorly tended, but somehow that adds to its always deserted, windblown, frontier-ish atmosphere (if you ignore the next door Suncor plant ha)

Kressbach looks pretty slow these days, but on April 6, 1945, my dad’s unit, A company, 253rd regiment, fought the 17th SS Panzer Division and lost nearly all officers and enlisted. James E Robinson took over command and led the 19 survivors to victory. He won the Medal of Honor and died that day
