Looks like Ancestry finally hit my origins perfectly. 🤔 Dad's parents were from Sweden, close to Norway. Mom's Great-Great Grandparents were from NW Germany along the border with Netherlands.

Actually it is a compliment

We lost our snoodle in 2020. I still think of him everyday and want to have him jump into my lap. Unfortunately there comes a time when they need to let go. The love from your cat will never stop, and there is another cat out there who will cherish your love. It takes time.

Matt and Mike McCarthy can’t coach in the fourth quarter. They don’t want to lose and, therefore they choke.

We will be lucky to make the playoffs

I was really disappointed with T-Mobile on my latest trip to Sweden. Last time I had perfect reception. This time, they wanted me to purchase an upgrade to get reception. Really will be looking at other providers if I need to purchase an upgraded in Europe.

This is the Bohus Fästning (fortress). I have an ancestor who was stationed here and ended up taking care of his brother, Tomas Thorild, until he died.

The worst thing is that I can identify a plot from a different ST series. It’s boring to watch a remake.

Can a German genealogist answer this question. Why are church records reported in both the Catholic and Lutheran church? My ancestors were Catholic, but they also appear in Lutheran church records. Thank you in advance.

I'm in the minority here. I just couldn't really get into Season 8 and disappointed in the ending.

000

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 16/05/2026

I don't want to reign on anyone's happiness and I'm happy you enjoy all of the seasons of #Outlander, but season 8 was a disappointment to me. Am I the only one here who felt this way? Maybe when I watch season 8 again and I can semi-binge watch it, I might feel different.

I hope he doesn't do to the Big Ten what he did to Wisconsin sports programs.

I'm watching season 2 at the moment.

The good news: I have to say that the half time show was 100 times better than the game. The bad news: This was the worst Super Bowl I have ever seen. Neither team should have made it to the game.

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

Are we sure these are the two best teams in their perspective conferences?

000

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

I am with you on this. I attended in the 80s and they won the conference most years, but I never thought they would ever win it all. Of course, back then it was run left, run right, run up the middle, first down, repeat. 😀

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

In my honorable opinion, The Last Kingdom is by far the best TV show of all times. The books by Bernard Cornwell were great too.

000

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

I agree with you. It was a great year. As an alum from the 80s, I surprised they passed the ball.

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 30/11/2025

Sorry for the bad Packer fans. I've been a Packer fan for 50 years and I am getting tired of them too. Most of the bad ones have only been fans for less than 30 years. I remember some really bad coaches and teams back in the day.

Thanks. The first draft I used the name on the account since I figured people can just look at it, but then used private on DNApainter for living people who did not test. I was also thinking tester 1, 2, 3, and so on.

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 04/10/2025

reading it 50 years from now would be confident that I covered all bases. On the other hand, 50 years from now, a descendant would not have access to the DNA on MyHeritage like I have when conducting the research. All options are welcomed.

Joe Samson @joesamson.bsky.social · 04/10/2025

I want to be able to use full names of the shared matches, but I am also aware of privacy concerns. Is it okay to use full names in the writeup? WHen I presented this project to my genealogical society, I used the first initial and last name. I want this to be thorough so that someone (cont)

#DNAGenealogy #Genealogy I have finalized my DNA research project on the boyfriend of my grandmother and have identified the father of my half uncle. I used LEEDS, MyHeritage Autocluster, and DNAPainter. I want to write up the results and share with all of the families involved.

Is there a way to get a general idea of a trip from St. Albans, Vermont to Duluth, Minnesota?

My sister Mary and I went in search of our father's boyhood home. My dad showed me back in the 90s. We found it. The biggest question as a result? Did my grandfather build the barn and outbuildings? We then stopped at the cemetery on our way home.

Good morning genealogy family. I am interested in creating and printing large descendancy chart for my family. I have a printer that can print 24X36 or 24x48 charts, but the genealogy programs (Family Tree Maker) don't seem to acknowledge any other printer that a 8.5x11 or 11x17. #genealogy
