Reminded me of @reckless.bsky.social's recent interview with Adam Connover about the plight of the "content creator."

Team bonding via Goldeneye. Oddjob is obviously OP, but Boris also seemed to work well for folks.

Every year, @duckduckgo.com hosts an all-staff meetup to bring our otherwise remote and distributed company together. This year, we’re in Canada, outside beautiful Montreal talking about the future of privacy online (and maybe playing a bit of Goldeneye).

My favorite part of @ryanselvy.com’s takedown of @wmata.com’s design changes is the VR cameo. Good to see a Meta Quest 2 in action! www.instagram.com/reel/DdMs9wI...

My representative, @usrepkathycastor.bsky.social, calls the SECURE Data Act an “appalling betrayal” of American’s privacy. Watching this hearing, it’s disappointing to see how little focus has been placed on whether this bill does anything to my privacy.
020
Joseph Jerome @joejerome.com · 03/06/2026
Underappreciated point from @caitrionafitz.bsky.social: the SECURE Data Act posits itself as a “consensus bipartisan bill,” but the history of the Washington Privacy Act-model is that it was written by the very companies it purports to regulate.

Google is taking the position it should be able to see rivals’ business plans and strategy docs to challenge their ability to use any of the remedies the court ordered in the search competition case. DuckDuckGo believes this will create a chilling effect: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

As one does with endless consent forms, I raced to click accept…on letting a bunch of adtech data brokers use medical information to target me with ads. I will never understand why this society tolerates this. Does anyone want to be marketed to based on their healthcare history?
