The new films had visual appeal, but I still feel that, despite all its flaws—its many, many flaws—David Lynch's 1984 version captured the heart of the first novel much better than any of the rest. Cat-milking and voice modules notwithstanding, it's much better than the "Muh man!" man as Duncan.

Come to think of it, considering I originally bought my tablet remote for the exact same purpose, one could try using the Kindle as a makeshift teleprompter while filming a video, so the remote would be useful for that.

My tablet is mounted on an arm next to my bed, which allows me to comfortably lie flat on my back and read hands-free to fall asleep. I use a remote to turn the pages rather than constantly reaching up to do so. This also allows me to keep them under the covers on cold nights. Super handy.
