Enjoying one last camping weekend at Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA. We always get a spot right on the beach.

Spectacular dusk skies reflect off the tinted window of a camper.

I have a pre-Custom Shop 1982 ES-335 Dot Neck Reissue. It’s been my best friend for 44 years. We’ve played a lot of music together and it still plays and sounds like a dream.

An antique natural Gibson ES-335 sits on a guitar stand in front of some amplifiers. Colored lights shine amber and purple on the scene.

Sunset yesterday from our campsite at Fisherman’s Memorial Campground in Narragansett, RI.

The sun is in the center of the image and is about 2/3rds above the horizon. A crane and other structures are silhouetted against an orange sky with a few clouds also backlit from the sun.

I already boycott Starbucks over their unfair labor practices.

Waiting for the work day to be done so I can rock out at band rehearsal tonight. Then I’ll be much better.

I loved that their office was the law firm of Dewey, Cheetham and Howe.

A 4 story brick building in a city with the words Dewey, Cheetham & How on one of the windows.

People don’t want these data centers in their backyards because of noise, light and air pollution and having to foot the bill and ration water and electricity. Tech overlords make millions off these communities without ever giving a cent back to what they destroy.

Isn’t congress supposed to control spending on stuff like this?

I’m still hand delivering my ballot. I don’t trust it will get counted if I mail it.

So sorry for your loss. Here is a picture of my Fred to help cheer you up a bit.

A fox-red lab is laying on a deck looking to the left with his paws in front He is very cute!

Get an automated drip irrigation system. I use a Gardena micro-drip system with Rachio automated hose valves for my outdoor basil and deck plants. We’ve gone on 2 week vacations with no problems.

Where were you guys playing?

I hear ya but… The best camera is the one you have with you. Most of the time that happens to be the one on my phone.

That is a very nice setup you’ve got there. Looking forward to some new images from your refreshed observatory.

Nice. I have a 1974 with the same master volume mod.

Congress needs to put guardrails on these companies and on AI regulation. I have seen your proposals for AI regulation & am wondering if it is enough. These companies need to be taxed based on token usage not profit since there are too many corporate loopholes. See Bill Gates essay for other ideas

Nice. Interesting to hear how it behaves vs your 335’s with F-holes. Is is more prone to feedback, less, the same? My 1982 ES335dot-neck reissue is my go to guitar for a tasty controlled feedback sound.

A man in a black blazer and jeans is playing a natural finish semi-hollow body guitar with f-holes and a black pick guard on stage with drums and cymbals in the background. The stage and performers are washed in magenta stage lighting.

I like to keep it simple so for the 4/8/2024 eclipse I used a 480mm APO, full frame DSLR for bracketing exposures sans computer, handheld shutter controller, eq mount & lots of battery power. Focus is key & polar aligning the mount will keep it centered. Practice a lot before the event. Good luck!

This is another example of corporate greed. Instead of reinvesting money to keep the grid up to date, the CEO’s and shareholders stuff their pockets and the heck with everyone else.

Yes I have both the Flat 68 III and the Flat 7 flattener 0.8 reducer for it. That scope always produces nice sharp fringe-free images. It’s a monster though.

It was one of the best Stellafanes I’ve been to. 2 decent nights and one almost perfect night. I imaged M16 with my WO 970mm doublet and was able to get almost 8 hours of data.
