‘Kiss’ was probably listed under the Art of Noise, but it counts for me Ken #popmaster

My 15 year old: I’m thinking of doing a Star Wars marathon. Where should I start? Me, a Star Wars fan: [Not that one. Or that one. And definitely not any of those.] Er, maybe Empire Strikes Back? But you might find it a bit slow. Probably skip the rest.

I knew what this skeet was about before I even saw what it was replying to, thanks to Colin Blunstone’s gig on Saturday. I hadn’t even heard the song till then but he got us all to sing along to the chorus.

Photo from a famous news article about an elderly couple who were billed £200 for pay-per-view porn films they claim were never ordered. The man is giving a look of “what, me? Never!”

This spot-on impression actually makes me realise how much Brian Butterfield there is in Keir’s voice

Scooby Snacks by Fun Lovin’ Criminals (if a no.12 single in 1997 counts as ‘big’)?

This passed me by at the time (I was 8 to be fair) but my gosh its marvellous, and I can’t help feeling the wrong bookish lead singer from an 80s guitar band is still getting write-ups in the national press

Thanks to a post by @andrewhickey.500songs.com, I recently discovered Colin Blunstone’s ‘One Year’, having heard little of his/the Zombies’ work. It’s incredible. He’s a local hero (the Zombies formed next door to where my wife now works) - so I took a punt on his homecoming gig at St Albans in May.

Hoping Facebook’s AI will tell me not only Mark Hollis’ current status, but also why he’s not signing their albums
A screenshot from a Facebook group dedicated to the music of Talk Talk and Mark Hollis (d. 2019). Out of shot, someone has mentioned that it is difficult to find signed memorabilia. Beneath the post, Facebook’s AI has suggested the questions ‘What is Mark Hollis’ current status?’ and ‘Why is Mark Hollis not signing?’

The guy on Twickets who sold me my #Suede ticket for tonight on (balcony) also sent on a ticket for the neighbouring seat, at no extra charge, as it was a concession and might have to prove you’re Universal Credit at the door. So if anyone wants it, it’s yours (I don’t want anything for it)

Got a Twickets alert and for once the ticket hadn’t already been snapped up so I’m going to #Suede tomorrow! Especially looking forward to hearing Brett yell “fill in the FAWMZ” at some point

Imagine a newspaper trivia quiz in the 70s, 80s or 90s asking the name of the Number One of the day - let alone if it happened to be a record breaking Number One

@litteronthebreeze.bsky.social I’ll tell you why Lazy gets a bad rep (Ep 12). It’s because it sounds exactly like ‘Scooby Dooby Doo, Where Are You?’ youtu.be/hTq6nwO4oJU?...
