On Kawara painted this day by hand, in layers, before midnight, or destroyed it. Today it turns forty. A date is the most generic image there is. A day counts because someone spent it making it count. #OnKawara #ConceptualArt #Time Sept.27,1986 (Saturday) acrylic on canvas 25,5 x 33 cm
A small charcoal-grey canvas on a rough white plaster wall. Centered in bold white sans-serif capitals: "SEPT.27,1986". Matte, even paint with the canvas weave faintly visible; letters crisp enough to look printed, though hand-painted. On Kawara, "Today" series.

„All my ducklings (Alle meine Entchen)“ A drawing I did several years ago for my daughter.
A loose pencil drawing on off-white paper. In the centre, a small upright piano drawn in thin grey lines: a flat lid slightly overhanging the body, a rectangular front panel, and a keyboard with a few short black keys marked in darker strokes. The piano stands on two long, thin legs ending in small circular casters, with a curved pedal shape between them. On top of the lid sits a tiny duckling in soft yellow-orange, the only colour in the image. Below, handwritten in grey pencil: "all my ducklings – piano". Wide empty space surrounds the drawing, giving it a quiet, provisional feel.

Lately I've been shopping at a supermarket where I don't actually need anything. I only do it so I can ask a young man sitting outside with his dog whether I can bring something back for the two of them.

Call it artificial intelligence running amok if it comforts you. What it really documents is natural intelligence running short: a species that built a mirror clever enough to reflect its own incoherence, then called the mirror the problem. #Cognition #AICritique

The trailer's Harlequin gives a thumbs-up before you've paid, before the show exists — an image advancing credit against a spectacle not yet incurred. Fairground economics, painted: promise now, deliver never, believe anyway. #Spectacle #VisualCulture #PublicSpace
Side panel of a white fairground trailer, painted with a harlequin figure in white clown makeup, red lips, and a quilted green-and-gold diamond costume, giving a thumbs-up over a painted white picket fence. Behind him, a red stage curtain trimmed in gold, scattered gold stars, and the partial figure of a man in a blue military-style uniform with gold braid. A yellow oval bears a red letter "V." Rows of round bulb lights, unlit, line the trailer's edge and roofline. In the foreground, a black trailer hitch rests on wet grey asphalt; a hazy row of modern office buildings sits under an overcast white sky in the distance.

The panic about AI spinning out of control says less about circuits than about us: what we call losing control is often just a clear view of the limited, undisciplined thinking that built the machine in the first place. #Cognition #AICritique

A chair built for the eternity of good taste, teal velvet now flanked by raw timber and a shipping carton — three states of matter awaiting the same verdict: use, or discard. Furniture doesn’t age here, it gets sentenced. #ObjectHistory #Obsolescence #MaterialCulture
A worn teal velvet mid-century cocktail chair with tapered wooden legs stands on a stained, water-marked concrete floor against a rough white plastered wall. To its left leans a raw, unfinished wooden plank with a scrap of cardboard wedged at its base. To its right, a large taped cardboard shipping box bears shipping labels, barcodes, and handwritten numbers in red marker.

Two of these orange booths had their mouths torn out, only perforated mesh remains, a face reduced to static. The third still speaks. Infrastructure never dies evenly; it rots the way memory does, in patches. #PublicSpace #Obsolescence #VisualCulture #Milan
Three identical orange payphone booths mounted on a weathered grey concrete-textured wall, each set on a narrow grey pedestal. The two booths on the left have had their telephone units removed, leaving only perforated metal mesh panels and empty mounting holes, along with a faded instruction sticker in each. The booth on the right still contains its telephone: a dark grey rotary-style unit with a keypad, small display, and handset hanging on its cord. Weathered posters and torn paper scraps cling to the booth interiors. The wall's coarse, mottled texture contrasts with the smooth concrete floor below.

Architecture is never mere statics — it’s ideology cast in concrete. Every façade asserts an order of things before a single body has passed through it. The space is already thinking while we’re still hesitating. #Architecture #SpatialTheory #SocialCritique
Brutalist concrete architecture of the Barbican Centre in London, showing stacked geometric volumes, exposed board-marked concrete surfaces, and a stepped, ziggurat-like structure typical of 1970s Brutalism.

My home, deconstructed. Four chairs, tumbling through space — a reminder that "home" is less about furniture and more about the feeling we arrange around ourselves. #MyHome #GraphicArt #TapeArt #MinimalistArt #HomeDesign #Chairs #ArtOnBluesky
A minimalist black-and-white artwork showing four chair outlines rendered in bold, tape-like strokes, scattered at various angles as if falling or floating. One chair has a small black circle on its seat. The style resembles tape art or cut paper on a light background.

A basketball court, deconstructed. Bold lines stripped of context — what remains is pure geometry. Form follows function, until function disappears. #AbstractArt #Deconstruction #Basketball #Geometry #MinimalistArt #GraphicDesign #BlackAndWhite #SportArt
A minimalist black-and-white artwork made of bold geometric lines forming an abstracted top-down view of a basketball court, including arc, key area, and boundary lines, slightly rotated on a white background.

Somewhere between order and chaos, there’s a pile of chairs just trying to figure out where they belong. Aren’t we all. 🪑 #illustration #lineart #drawing #chairs #design #minimalism #blackandwhite #art
A minimalist line drawing of a tall, precarious stack of simple wooden chairs. At the base, several chairs stand upright; toward the middle they tumble and tangle chaotically; at the top, one chair perches almost defiantly upright. White background, black outlines only.

I'm slowly getting to grips with this tool for generating weave patterns. #TextileDesign #WeavePattern #GenerativeDesign #FabricDesign #CreativeCoding #Design
A printed sheet showing six grid-based diagrams arranged in three rows, appearing to illustrate steps in a pixel art or bitmap image-building process. Top row: an empty grid with diagonal tick marks indicating a pattern sequence (left), and the same grid partially filled with numbered, shaded cells forming a pixelated shape (right). Middle row: a completed black-and-white pixel art image resembling an abstract or animal shape (left), and an empty grid with a diagonal line of small circles marking reference points (right). Bottom row: smaller thumbnail versions of intermediate and final stages of the same pixel art, including a gray-toned filled grid and a larger high-contrast black-and-white completed image shown in two panels.

Working on a tool that generates weave patterns for fabric design — feeding it images and letting structure emerge from the grid. Still early days, but the results are getting interesting. 🧵 #TextileDesign #WeavePattern #GenerativeDesign #FabricDesign #CreativeCoding #Design
A grid of twelve square images showing various auto-generated weave patterns. The patterns range from dense, high-contrast black-and-white grids to sparse dot arrangements, with varying levels of detail and abstraction. Some resemble traditional textile drafts, others feel more like glitchy or organic pixel compositions.
