iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Mostly I'm a programmer and can build these things quickly. Max is a lifetime of learning, and I dont see anyone talking or sharing about building performance oriented rigs. Lots of guys teasing with pics of vids and no details. Hidden Max problems around patch loading and sync. Etc.

FINALLY found a decent TV show: THE DEVIL'S HOUR It's like a mad British 12 Monkeys crime procedural, and it's really well made and doesn't do any slow paced second-screen oriented bullshit. 9/10

Every time I go to a local book sale, and see a bunch of tech books, like a whole pile of them, I think man, there's someone who made it out. They made it to the end. They might have died, but now the are free

Pluribus is very bad, poorly paced, and deeply unenjoyable TV. But anything to fill the trough for the piggies I guess.

"Get his ass” Is so unreasonably funny to me. A huge win for the English language. Today's version of "seize him" imo

The main idea is setting up parameters for algorithms, and then 'performing' the parameters. So it still stays musical and keeps evolving. And no two live performances will ever sound the same

I'm basically clean room reverse engineering from this screenshot of their live system, and this video of it in action they put out a few years ago www.youtube.com/watch?v=3poN...

I've been building my own algorithmic music production studio thing based off of Autechre's live Max/MSP rig, and it's starting to come together 👹

Ukraine can track every Russian drone launch and intercept almost all of them, but NATO and the countries these drone incursions are happening in can't either track them or disable them. Think about that for a second.

JMD 🇨🇦 @jmd.fm · 17/10/2025

So just like this time last year where we saw flaps of 'drones' plaguing the east coast of the USA, now it's happening in Europe. Copenhagen airport shut down. Advanced anti-drone technology deployed with no effect. UK government held two COBRA (aka emergency shit hitting the fan) meetings. Cool.
