My favorite little feature from the Positron 2026.08 release: we now check your R scripts (and Python scripts, Quarto files, etc.) to see if they refer to any packages/modules that are needed to run the script but aren't installed. If they do, you'll get a little notification and an install button!

You should be able to do this in Positron too! If you enable RStudio Keybindings (search in Settings) you can even use the same keyboard shortcuts. Alternately these two buttons can be used to restart or exit the R session, respectively.

It's in there already! Colors will render with swatches you can hover over to see a color picker (see screenshot).

first thing is to turn on the RStudio keybindings! explain how multiple interactive R sessions work (big paradigm shift from RStudio) if they're R Markdown users, show how to turn on inline output if they use that workflow run "Open Walkthrough" and do the RStudio to Positron walkthrough!

This should totally work. Try using Ctrl+Space to trigger completions. If you still aren't seeing them, open a discussion with some screenshots & your Positron version and we'll take a look! github.com/posit-dev/po...
