I hate that so many of my friends are on Instagram. Criticise russian bots in the comments and you get mass reported as a bot yourself. Somehow meta have managed to ban real people but not the bots, it makes you wonder if it's only incompetence.

I hate that I still have to have arguments with people about #nuclear energy. In the midst of the climate crisis, this graph is more convincing than any argument I could make.

The graph shows historical per capita GDP growth vs per capita emissions. Almost all countries see significant rises in emissions with GDP growth, with one exception: France. France saw drastically falling emissions with continued growth after adopting nuclear power.

If Claude starts watermarking the code or anything else it generates, what exactly is it claiming credit for?

By that logic, my internet provider should watermark everything we do. The operating system should watermark everything Claude creates, the compiler should watermark every binary we build.

And eventually Claude or Anthropic should open source everything so that one can tell what exactly Claude did

They are tools and infrastructure, so is Claude.

The final output comes from countless prompts thoughts, instructions, decisions, corrections, subscription fee and refinement and what not. The model helped execute that process, if Claude wants to provide provenance, fine. But branding the output because we used its tool is ridiculous, considering it's ultimately the people's decision to go with which text, code.

Köln's #Stadtbahn has some lovely stations. This is my favourite (Heumarkt). The industrial design is lovely. I'd also add that #Stadtbahn's are an underrated form of public transport. #koeln
