Yup, just use Google, specify "web" (which removes AI summaries) and under "Search Tools" use "custom date" range with 01/01/2021 as the "until" date. If you teach your middle-schoolers to do this, you'll be giving them life skills beyond just making chocolate. :)
A screenshot of a Google Search page illustrating how to filter search results by date using the "Web" tab and the "Tools" menu. The search query in the search bar reads "how to make chocolate site:youtube". Red arrows and boxes highlight relevant features: the "Web" category filter (which blocks AI summaries), the "Tools" drop-down menu, "Custom range..." for date filtering, and an existing date filter set to "Before Jan 1, 2021".

Below this are expected search results of pre-2021 Youtube videos relevant to "how to make chocolate".

AMSTERDAM REVIEW

Henry Ossawa Tanner’s The Angel of Death Following Two Lovers, n.d.
— in memory of J. H. Prynne, whose death occurred on the day of this writing, and whose words acrost the threshold of what follows
Timelike and blind, I know you
delirium. As light knows its own lisp is what
cools the water’s surface. So you look forward
at this path with confidence. Fearless rambler, no rue in
crossing the yellow ochre and viridian blended in clover;
with time being yours, while mine is the eyeless
head turning backwards, noting the shadow
in my fear of love is also my love for sfumato, my
arms covered in bumps and lampblackwords.

The ship on your lips
steadies itself for the journey
and the bird rises like a wine-bruise
also; the hum of a manganese violet
from a distant orchard. I read the like-minded
frenzy of purple hues upon your cloak. From here
to darker, I know the feel of green
fields moving faster. Dewless
we go into the darkest shallows.

Me, singing to my cat: 🎼“Every cat in Catstantinople Lives in Istancat, not Catstantinople So if you’ve got a cat in Catstantinople, He’ll be catting in Istancat.” 🎶 My cat:
Orange and white cat lying on a bed with his belly showing and his head upside down and his forepaws outstretched and a derpy smile on his precious little face.

Gerard Manley Hopkins had such a command of the music of language that, as a devout Buddhist, I'm not even bothered by his over-the-top Christianizing. Lock yourself in a closet and read this aloud to yourself — you'll see what I mean:
As Kingfishers Catch Fire
By Gerard Manley Hopkins

As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame;
As tumbled over rim in roundy wells
Stones ring; like each tucked string tells, each hung bell's
Bow swung finds tongue to fling out broad its name;
Each mortal thing does one thing and the same:
Deals out that being indoors each one dwells;
Selves — goes itself; myself it speaks and spells,
Crying Whát I dó is me: for that I came.

I say móre: the just man justices;
Keeps grace: thát keeps all his goings graces;
Acts in God's eye what in God's eye he is —
Chríst — for Christ plays in ten thousand places,
Lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not his
To the Father through the features of men's faces.

Needless to say, many of Gen Z's outfits do in fact look idiotic to us. Now, didn't we look like idiots to older Gen X folks and boomers when we were kids? Absolutely! (Please see Exhibit A: Photo of me, myself, in 2005, when I was 27 years old). 4/6

Another July, and another failed attempt to snag 4 weekend tickets to Yo La Tengo's Hanukkah shows at Bowery Ballroom. Looks like we're going on Tuesday this year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well, we now have 4.5 months to get work off the next day and find a late-night babysitter for our friend's kid.

But if I zoom out enough to get an image of the whole page, the resolution is too low (the letters too pixellated) for me to read the page on my device — see an attached example.

But the problem for me in trying to read the scans as they exist is that when zooming in enough for the letters to be legible, I can only get a fragment of the page (whatever's visible on-screen) in an image download. See attached example.

I cut alcohol entirely out of my diet a month or two ago, and now my fridge is filled with non-alcoholic beers. Which is cool — now I can start drinking at any time of day and still operate heavy machinery later that night. Beer with breakfast? Hell yeah! It's 0.05% ABV, nerd. Stop razzing me.

I’d agree. Emily Dickinson explained fairly easily how to tell 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 a poem is good, but as far as I can tell none of us know 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 a poem good.
“If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can warm me I know that is poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry. These are the only way I know it. Is there any other way?”

Screenshot of the game "MapTap" at MapTap.gg; shows MapTap #637 at the top, March 20, 2026, Score 944, with a photo of Fred Rogers, a globe underneath, with text overlaying it across the globe, much of it unreadable, but a blurb about Fred Rogers visible in front:

"Pittsburgh
Round: 1 (easy)

Fred McFeely Rogers, born March 20, 1928, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He was shy, often sick as a child, and teased for his weight. After college, he planned to enter seminary. Then in 1951 he saw children's television for the first time ... loud, frantic, packed with commercials, and decided that if this was going to shape kids, it needed to be better.
So he built something radically different. Mister Rogers' Neighborhood ran for 33 years, 912 episodes, from 1968 to 2001. Rogers wrote more than 200 songs for the show. At the start of every episode, he walked through the door, hung up his jacket, changed into a hand-knit cardigan (made by his mother), swapped dress shoes"

Post the best picture you’ve ever taken of your pet:
Photo of a fat, extremely handsome orange cat sleeping on his back with his hind feet spread apart and sticking up in the air while his forepaws are bent like little bunny paws.

Taking you up on your offer of any century, namely the 1890s…
Cover of the book “Conquest of Bread” by Peter Kropotkin. Small, white “The” center-top; large black “CONQUEST” below it; a stylized globe with yellow oceans and red continents below that (Western hemisphere); small white “OF” below that; large black “BREAD” below that; then, in a black rectangular box, the white lettering of “PETER KROPOTKIN.” Decorative black borders in a square style. I don’t know why none of y’all ever told me about jalapeño-stuffed green olives, but I won’t be forgiving you for keeping it from me.
A jar of green olives stuffed with jalapeños. Bottle reads “PEARLS Specialties Jalapeño hand-stuffed Queen olives, SUPERIOR QUALITY GUARANTEED.” A logo at the top of the jar label reads “MUSCO FAMILY” in a circle around a hand with fingers spread out and a black olive on each finger. The jar stands on a butcher block with bits of shredded cheese strewn behind it.

I can't access it still — I have tried it on my laptop with Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Opera, Safari... tried it in Safari and Chrome on my iPhone... tried it on my Linux laptop with Chrome and Firefox... I have tried with and without a VPN on, to see if it's regional... no dice, can't access your site.
