For as much I do enjoy the look of Heroes and Riders in particular, I do wonder why they never went for true cel-shading. It was so clear they were going for the look of the 2D art, so it's a little puzzling that they didn't go all the way.

I got art education myself from 10th to 12th grade, though I did self-teach myself a few things and learned some tricks separate from that education. And it did help me develop, I just used to be stubborn about what I wanted to draw back then (mostly stylized characters).

I could swear it was obvious from just, y'know. Looking at the style. Fair, there's plenty of official artists who draw very similarly to Uekawa, but in the case of Hayane and Uekawa, they always had VERY distinct styles, both in how they draw and render things, same with Karasuno.

I sure as heck did, used it for games and the internet. I didn't use the Forecast or News Channels, but I think the time I spent on the Internet Channel and the YouTube Channel might just match or surpass some of my games. I watched *anime* on the YouTube Channel and YouTube XL.

I also dunno if it's just me, but Sonic to me feels the coolest in this game compared to the other games in Origins Plus (ironically, this is the only non-GG game in the collection without Super Sonic). CD's just special to me, y'know? I'm sure nostalgia *is* a factor, but I dunno, I dig it.

If anything, I think the only aspect of the game I don't enjoy too much are the Special Stages, but not only are they not mandatory for the Good Ending thanks to the generators in the Past (an option I love), well... Despite the jank, I'd rather take them than Sonic 1's or 4.1's.

Needless to say, I also love the two staple characters it introduced. It's also a game I enjoy doing Time Trials in, heck, I used to be in the Top 10 for Palmtree Panic Zone 2 back in April 2023. I've since lost my spot, but 'tis how it is.

Truth be told, making this playlist and the thumbnail kinda reinforced my appreciation for Sonic CD. I was already fond of the game, been fond of it since 2005-ish (when I got Gems Collection). Love the animations, the art direction, the Peel Out and the Time Travel.
