Truth be told, making this playlist and the thumbnail kinda reinforced my appreciation for Sonic CD. I was already fond of the game, been fond of it since 2005-ish (when I got Gems Collection). Love the animations, the art direction, the Peel Out and the Time Travel.

I could be misinformed, maybe there is something I'm missing, but I'm pretty sure it was upper management's fault that the series was in a rough state to begin with. Considering Iizuka had to fight for Sonic Team to have more time to develop Frontiers, as well...

So, I played a few games before this one, like Pokémon Red, Mario Land 1, Sonic Heroes, Toy Story 2, etc., but I'm convinced this one flipped my switch because not only could I not let go of it back when it was new, it still influences my own artwork to this day.

I've thinking a lot about posting some art on here again, and just for the fun of it, I decided to make a little frame with the finished piece, its title, date of completion (DD/MM/YYYY) and the program used to make it. I just added a smaller layer of noise and a watermark of my current logo.

That's kinda why I lost interest in Sonic Prime myself. Waiting a year for each "season" (because it was a *24* episode season slashed into 3 "seasons") was just not fun. I was convinced initially it was gonna be an 8 episode drop then the other 16 would drop weekly, but nope.

Listen, I know Origins and Superstars have their many issues, but I don't think the Classic Sonic Collection is that bad a deal, all things considered. Even if it's base Origins, that's *6* games total. Though I would have preferred them to be the Plus version for Mania & Origins.

Rewatched this one recently, it still rocks, and I genuinely love Monster Mickey and Julius' designs. It is a darn shame this short never gets acknowledged (besides the Julius Boss in Kingdom Hearts 3D) nor is it available on Disney Plus.
