Next time conservatives tell Representative Ilhan Omar to "go back where she came from," remind them of a basic chronological fact. Ilhan Omar became an American citizen in 2000. Elon Musk did not get his citizenship until 2002. Melania Trump did not become a citizen until 2006.

my little brother ended up in the hospital with brain fever. Kids ended up deaf or blind, pregnant women got babies with such issues just being exposed unknowingly to it or a dead baby. In the 19th century it wiped indigenous communities in the NW.

Lexie's story moved me, too. I thought Bill Moore was the perfect narrator for it. I had the privilege of spending 1/2 a day with him in Scalloway, at the museum and on the waterfront. He later took me up to Lunna House for tea and a visit in manse where the Shetland Bus all started.

Cool. I think my ancestor, Osbjorn (Aasbjorn)came with him. They became Osborn in England. I always say I'm a 1066 Viking when I talk to Nordic groups about my WWII novels set in Norway.

LOL. Researching Civil War slang for my WIP, I came across this: "Sunday Soldier" which means being more concerned with appearances than battle readiness. The slang mocked those who prioritized their uniforms over their duties. Hmm. Sounds appropriate for a certain someone who needs makeup table.

A jet from Whidbey Airbase flew over my house last evening. It was so loud, but instantly I thought about how Ukrainians heard that sound and the drones coming in. EVERY NIGHT. Trump's people have no clue, no compassion and Russian assets.

Take a deep breath. Apply old skills when there wasn't wifi. It's certainly aggregating. I guess be thankful the tree didn't fall on your house. I lived in terror of a massive fir tree on my neighbor's side of the fence, but its branches crossed half of my back yard. Happily, it was removed.
