It is done!! Inspired by the 2003 codex cover art "Eye of Terror" by Karl Kopinski Made for a local painting challenge with Abaddon assigned per dice roll and the theme "treasure". (crushing Cadia is a "treasured moment" for him 😇) #minipainting #warhammer40k #abaddon #eyeofterror #osl #cadia

Full frontal photograph of the finished "Eye of Terror" piece based on the iconic artwork by Karl Kopinsky.

It features Abaddon the Despoiler, standing in flames surrounded by his black legion - visualized through converted epic scale marines - holding and crushing the planet Cadia in front of a backdrop that shows the Eye of Terror spiral galaxy in pink, magenta, purple and blue coloration.

It also shows the arm and shoulder of Abaddon the Despoiler, who is standing in flames in front of a backdrop that shows the Eye of Terror spiral galaxy in pink, magenta, purple and blue coloration.

Vertically split comparison of the iconic artwork "Eye of Terror" by Karl Kopinsky (right) and my version (left) for which I used a backdrop plinth, the modern miniature of Abaddon the Despoiler, with sculpted planet in powerclaw as well as a number of Imperialis "epic scale" marines.
