Loves do I know anyone who has the time/expertise to answer some questions for our PTA about how to find/apply for grants? They are trying to cover budget shortfalls for extras for our kids and could use some guidance. They probably can’t pay, but I will make you art to barter!!

one of my all-time favorites (along with tail concerto) little tail bronx was a beloved series that could do no wrong for me, but i just couldn't go along when they went in hard on the "feed more kids to the soul cannon" concept 😭

Whoa, no, that's not how this works. You cannot replace school libraries or public libraries with bookstores. We have entirely different goals and objectives. And the idea that we can just privatize public goods makes me full body cringe.

Yeah. He's governing Canada like a bank, which I suppose was to be expected. What I do like about him is that he isn't a celebrity nor aiming to be one (a la the current Conservative leader) and I hope that sets a tone for future leaders.

jael @jld.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I'd guess it isn't as bad here in Canada in terms of actual pay for teachers, but the question definitely yields similar results (and they're still underpaid).

if you feel like it'd be helpful, i used to teach college courses on the steps of finding a job for people at various levels of their career (e.g., "first job out of school" level to mid-career and career transitioners) and would edit resumes, etc. as well; you can DM if you want
