Frimpong and Bradley are far more similar than Trent and Bradley are though, so you do lose some flexibility and variation. However no-one is like Trent so… one of them.

On Bradley - injury record aside - he has been phenomenal. A lot of the praise for him has been very much of the faint/damning variety just because he’s not Trent. He’s 21 and already does several key things better than Trent, who’s one of the best right backs of all time.

I wouldn’t be so surprised re: Ali. When you sign a new number 1 twelve months in advance it’s usually because your existing number 1 has said they want to leave in twelve months. If it’s not this summer it’ll be next though. Agree about others in terms of what it means for numbers though.
