iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I once waited for a "perfect" launch plan. Cost me 6 months. Now, I ship every single week. 🚢 Building in public, even with rough edges, is gold. Stop planning. Start shipping. This week: send 10 DMs asking for V1 feedback. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

I don't do snooze in Sunrise. The whole idea is you're already a little early, so the last minute isn't a sport. Some people hate it. Those people are not my tester. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

The silence after launch is normal. Growth isn't linear; it's a quiet grind. 🌱 The most impactful work happens when nobody's watching. Keep iterating. Real growth is built step-by-step. Run one quick user fe #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Exercise Two in Calm Meditation is 5-4-8 — belly in, short hold, long out. Goal: strengthen the diaphragm. A ratio I can follow when my brain won’t sit still 🏔️ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Ported one of my old habit apps into the new suite — goals up top, tasks underneath, reminders that nudge without nagging. Fresh mint UI this time. Feels like the original grew up. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Lucid Breathing is Calm Meditation’s sleep exercise: in for 6, pause and smile, out for 6. I put the smile in the recipe on purpose — bedtime without a lecture. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Island lore in Daily Streaks got a legend card. Mountain if it mattered, river if you park it, path for showing up, landmark when the day is done. Mark a habit Important and finishing it raises a peak — Stretch is wearing that badge already. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

One fact a day in Factly is the constraint. Infinite would just be another hole in the phone. I wanted a spark, not a second encyclopedia. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

TV Tracker can sort your library by what's airing next, or by how far through you are. I used to keep this in my head. My head was lying. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

I put VoiceOver labels on habits and budgets like someone might actually use them, because someone does. Accessibility isn't a polish pass. It's whether the app is honest. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Indie craft note: porting an old native app into the shared React Native suite is half archaeology, half spring cleaning. Found the product IDs, kept the heart of the idea, threw out the storyboard spaghetti. Felt good. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Used to refine features for months. Big mistake. My first profitable SaaS shipped ugly & fast. 🚀 Small, consistent launches taught me everything. You think users need perfection. Reality: they need solutions. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

App Store screenshots are a second product. The app can be calm and the frames still have to sell a feeling in two seconds. I rewrite captions more than code some weeks. 🖼️ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Rebuilt Contact from the ground up today. Same job — remind me to reach out to people I care about — but the new UI actually makes me want to open it. Soft blues, clearer lists, catch-ups that feel like a nudge not a chore 💙 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Island in Daily Streaks turns today's habits into Home Isle. 5 of 8 done, 40 minutes on the clock, meadows unlocked in a strip — and whatever's left waits as a river tomorrow. Journey has 8 on the map already 🌿 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

The fear of showing unfinished work is costly. Build in public, even when it's ugly. 🗣️ My best insights came from awkward early demos. Show the raw truth. You think transparency is risky. Reality: It's your unfair advantage. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Don't get paralyzed by pricing. I spent weeks debating $9 vs $19. A/B testing in an hour proved me wrong. Test fast, learn faster. 🤔 Stop planning. Start shipping. Find your market price today. 💸 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Spent a stretch teaching the apps eight languages, English through Swedish, one tap in Settings. Plus a little icon row for the other apps, like a group chat but for software. Someone in Stockholm can budget in Swedish and I think that's delightful. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Most people meet an app as a tiny icon and a first-open that shouldn't feel like a cockpit. I spend longer on those than on features with names. If it feels like a dashboard, I tear something out. ✨ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Dark mode isn't a skin. It's whether someone trusts you at 11pm. If the whites blow out, they leave. I learned this by blinding myself, repeatedly. 🌙 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

You can import and export Shield Money as CSV, which is unsexy until you switch phones. I don't want to be the vault. I want to be the notebook you can leave with. 📂 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Daily deck opens with a sun pill and “1 of 5”. Five cards from five topics, one calm morning swipe. Wikipedia on a smaller plate — that’s the whole pitch. ☀ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Irish Property can compare towns, which is how you find out your reasonable budget is a different planet two counties over. Numbers next to numbers. Hope, slightly adjusted. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

I keep giving Settings a little room for personality. Morning reminder on, time set, then leave it alone. The best default is the one you stop tweaking after day two. ☀️ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Put 8 languages in Settings across the apps — English through Swedish. Also a row of icons so you can find the other ones. Learned i18n is a slog, but it feels good when the same screen works for someone who isn't me. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

The best bit of Doombreak is when the session ends and the apps come back. Relief, then a choice. The timer isn't punishment. It's a door you installed on purpose. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

J.J @jjcooldev.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Irish Property has a map of actual sales, not listings pretending. Pan around a town and the prices sit on the streets. Opposite of a brochure. Slightly nosy. Extremely Irish. 🗺️ #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Plan, journal, and the reminder in Daily Streaks were still plain cards under the island. The plan got a path, the journal a notebook, and the nudge a bell in the grass. If it lives on the island, it should look like it belongs there. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Painted a pile of tiny tiles for Daily Streaks, then argued with myself about what a river should mean. Postponed, not failed. The picture took an hour. That sentence took the evening. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

Put a shelf under the island in Daily Streaks for goals that are not today's problem. A title, and a note about how I'll get there. My head was that shelf, and it kept dropping things. 📌 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

I have a talent for forgetting which episode I was on and then pretending I meant to start over. TV Tracker: search, posters, mark watched, calendar of what's next. Notes and ratings if you're that person. Free, TVmaze under the hood. Bedtime, sorted. #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS

The island in Daily Streaks was tiles on a plain card. I gave it a sky, a little crest, and buttons that look like a palette, a storybook, and a calendar. A check-off should feel like walking into a place you like. 🌳 #IndieDev #BuildInPublic #ProductHunt #SaaS
