This weekend, my lab will be participating in 'Walk to End ALS'. We study proteins that cause ALS. We will be there to support those who are affected by this incurable disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). For Torontonians, it's this Sunday at the Ashbridges Bay Park, starting at 10 am!

Preprint alert! Stress granules form rapidly under stress, when translation shuts down. What stress granule proteins do under basal condition remained a mysterious. Here, we identified stress granule proteins, PRRC2A, PRRC2B, and PRRC2C, as novel regulators of translation. Work by Jie Qi Huang.
