I planted this peony years ago and thought it had died. It returned weakly, built roots in silence, and now carries more than five massive blooms. Academia is much the same: years of unseen fundamentals before the flower. Congratulations to my graduating students!

Published in Macromolecules. Research led by undergrad, David Wang, uncovered the nanomechanics of shear-rate-dependent stiffening in micellar conductive polymers. PANI/PAMPSA shifts from micelle coalescence at low shear to aligned PANI filaments at high shear. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/... #Polymers

New paper in Adv. Theory Simul., we built agent-based model of bacterial growth with CaCO₃ precipitation to study biomineralization at the grain scale. Bacteria concentration and spatial distribution control crystal size, shape, and morphology. Paper here: doi.org/10.1002/adts.202502233

Hot off the press! We explore computational methods for predictive alloy design. The Kolmogorov-Arnold Network (KAN) model shows superior accuracy & efficiency in predicting Ru's properties compared to traditional models, which we validated with molecular dynamics simulations. #AI #MaterialsScience
