How about you take a haircut on your profits and pay for your pollution instead lads?

Aw, we should have a play date.

Last time ENG-ARG played this match, the score was counted in thousands of deaths. A poor way to celebrate a win from a consistently unpleasant set of men.

Sigh, no they wouldn't. This is called "impact bias."

Team Starmer have not improved since the departure of McSweeny. This is such an unforced error. There was no need for the punch-left and false equivalence between people who want to work for something better for all of us versus those who want to divide us through hate.

If only there was some well-known book we could read about how the bourgeois always end up siding with the oppressor to save their own skin.

But also maybe KS3 and KS4 English literature absolutely kill the joy of books by picking irrelevant works (classics!) or pretending that old plays make good reading (verily!). That's how it went for me.

Agreed but let me point the finger of blame: boomers. After hollowing out the welfare state and flogging off state assets so they didn’t have to pay their fair share of taxation, suddenly the system looks worryingly threadbare. Rising house prices are protection from their own vandalism.

About 12mWh less gas consumed than in previous years. Reasons: - Mild weather - Internal insulation for every wall and ceiling in all upstairs rooms - Low temp underfloor heating everywhere - Solar thermal in summer (very evident on chart) (Good year for solar PV too: 50% of home plus two cars)

JFC. Hotel costs are easing for those of you fortunate enough. For the rest of you that need to eat food, not so much.

Hey journalists! I know you're very smart and literate, but you are not very numerate. This should say "your already very expensive shopping is going up by another 3.6%" Instead you imply things are getting better for me, rather than getting worse at a slightly slower rate than feared.

JFC. Seems like the UK Labour policy wonks have been kicked in the head by a horse. The alternative: Tax heavy polluting vehicles properly, including stupidly large EVs, through VED. Stop subsidising fossil fuels. Increase benefits for low-income people to offset the removal of said subsidies.

I’m hoping this is the Guardian being the Guardian. The Bank of England should know that private schools fees are not in its basket of goods and services for measuring CPI, I imagine because so few people pay private school fees.

Nuclear power is not about low carbon. It’s about money. The Brits are having their wallets inspected before a single Watt is generated.

Methane companies in the UK will get to fleece us for network upgrades for a product we cannot safely use. Meanwhile badly needed electricity grid upgrades are much lower. I cannot wait to disconnect permanently from the methane network.

The physics, economics, and optics of this are all out of whack. Nukes are stupidly expensive and funnel our money into developers' pockets. Why does this Guardian publish such drivel?

"Learning" by having AI write your assignments is like going to the gym dressed in this. You can do all the reps on the heaviest of weights, but gain no fitness. But once you've done the work and learned, when you just need to stack heavy boxes, this a very useful tool.
