I find fungi tough. But here's a nice one – we wonder if it's Chicken of the woods. It was a brighter yellow when it first emerged on our seemingly doomed plum tree.

Has to be said that #dinoconuk has mushroomed since I last attended. It is now HUGE. But the main takeaway remains that the demographic is staggeringly diverse and entirely inclusive. All welcome. It's enriching and life-affirming.

Amazing wildlife encounter in the garden. I keep a lot of ragwort, as I love Cinnabar Moth caterpillars. Today, though, found a huge ichneumon wasp. I got lucky and managed to catch it in the parisitoid act. Egg injected, caterpillar doomed. WOWsers.

Today I ate a Nakd bar, and it was absolutely disgusting. Tasted vaguely of nut laced with formaldehyde. Turns out the best before date was October 2016 and it had been in the bottom of a rucksack for a decade. I had not been privy to this information prior to consumption.
