Ok so, growing up I loved D&D. In the back of one of the 1st Ed rulebooks was a list of suggested reading. As I was going off to engineering school then I held off reading any of those books. Now I’m retired and read one of them; Elric of Melnibonè by Michael Moorcock. Damn, what a horrible book.

Yeah, well, I used to be a teacher (part time). My subjects were economics and quantitative analysis. I made a commitment to go to the gym every weekday morning I was not traveling since the Summer solstice last June. And I kept it! The effort has really paid off… not in lost weight or trimmer waistline or added muscle mass (although that did happen) but in the determination to defeat these MFers.
