And I’m halfway through @erin-nations.bsky.social’s wonderful, funny trans memoir Gumballs. I don’t know how I heard about this book but I’m so glad I did. It had the sweetness and insight of Maia Kobabe and the wit and originality of the New Yorker.

I haven’t read @davemckean.bsky.social and Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum since it came out. Good Lord does it still land. Its overall take on Batman and his Rogues’ Gallery was groundbreaking when it came out. And it still feels like the bleeding edge of where Batman could go if allowed.

I had a great weekend for graphic novel reading, starting with Gengorah Tagame’s beautiful gay coming of age story. A story about coming outs as a kid and as an adult that I could really relate to. Can’t wait to read his new gay Odd Couple Fish and Water.
