Finished Like A Dragon Gaiden : The Man Who Erased His Name - In spite of being kinda short it still kinda meanders towards the middle but it's all worth it 'cause the ending is absolutely stellar Also the spy gadgets were pretty fun, though I'm glad they seemed to just be for this game

+ the characters get a lot of time (relative, game's only ~5hrs) to shine both individuals and as part of the group which really sells it

I was drawn to this because I saw someone say it has great poly/harem relationship, and they were right, the time loop stuff lets it escape a lot of the usual pitfalls and hemming and hawing that usually annoy me

Finished Ouroboros - Really neat RPG Maker (ero)game about characters stuck in time loop. I have to give it a lot of props because unlike most other time loop stories the characters become immediately more endearing and likeable /after/ having their souls ground into paste by the endless cycle

Finished 007 First Light - As I and everyone else expected it's basically Uncharted meets Hitman, comes out pretty solid in the end Has some issues with pacing that feel like they came from creating levels/set pieces before the story but all in all pretty good game

video games allow us to experience the fantasy of a world where the systems that govern our lives are comprehensible and respond consistently to our actions

Finished Mina the Hollower - Much of this game is immaculate and gorgeous and I had a great time with it, but I've got to say the main plot is surprisingly bad? In spite of how simple it is? Kinda baffling, but it's not like that's what you'd come here for anyway so it's still pretty great

Jimbolance @jimbolance.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Finished Planetarian - Spent half of this on the verge of tears so it's safe to say it really worked on me lol. It's a shame the romanticism and optimism about robots/AI from older works like this is tainted by current reality, but I think that's actually fitting to this story ironically enough

after reading every evening for like a month i'm finally caught up with lessons in love (until .58 is public) i wonder what to talk about... maybe that it's been fun to read something with such severe and constant tonal whiplash (positive) (upsetting) and infuriating puzzles (positive)

i think more people should write things explicitly with the intent of not explaining them to the majority. i think sometimes readers should have to learn and understand on their own. i think we should write more things for our own people and not the masses.

It's cool to see my dorm board messages are here even after several years (not that there'd be any reason for them not to be) Even if my messages are just me making dumb VN references haha....

Futaba in front of her dorm board with various messages on it

My message is "What makes a wonderful life?" from Chuusotsu

Ami in front of her dorm board with various messages on it

My message is "Fall into Hell for me" from The Most Forbidden Love in the World

Maya in front of her dorm board with various messages on it

My message is "Reclaim youself" from The House in Fata Morgana

Yumi in front of her dorm board with various messages on it

My message is "Life wasn't made to give up" from Rewrite

Jesus CHRIST It's scenes like this that make the Good Uncle/Bad Uncle path paradigm so fascinating

Sensei : Answer the question, Ami.
Ami : About how you won't hurt me?
Sensei : Yes. How do you know that? Why do you sound so sure?
Ami : Because...
Ami : Because we're family...
Ami : And because I'm one of the only things in this world that you're actually attached to.
Ami :You and me don't hurt one another. It's not who we are.
Ami : I don't even know if we can hurt one another. I don't think our bodies....or our
minds would let that happen.
Ami : So you can do whatever you want to me and I'll be sure to look up at you...
Ami : Smiling the whole time.

I've always felt Lessons in Love would resonate a lot with queer anime perverts so it's cool to see that happening on this site. Been supporting/following it since it started (even if I'm behind on updates) so it's gratifying to see it getting more public recognition Some pics from my folder on it

Ami and Molly hugging at the eroge shop. Tsuneyo is also there.

The Hues of These New Colors - What Lessons in Love Means to Me mimidoshima.neocities.org/main/posts/2... The ongoing visual novel about a teacher grooming 20 students that made me try my hand at poetry. 10,000 words. I hope it captures a fragment of why I find this game inspiring.

Sensei: Not that. This…bonding thing. Having to open up to someone without envisioning what choices and words will lead to sex the quickest.

Finished Saros - It's definitely easier than Returnal but it's still lots of fun thanks it just feeling really great to move and shoot things Story was pretty interesting but it took till the last third to really turn on, the early parts of the game are kinda just watching people go space mad lol

Finished Pragmata - Genuinely great and unique gameplay however it's story incredibly straight-forward and really only has one thing going for it (guy become dad to robot baby) so YMMV with that, I found it just kinda alright, but still pretty cool game. And not to long either!
