I identified this guy as night heron, but there were also gulls, big brown pelicans fishing and swimming, Caspian terns, snowy egrets, and great blue herons including one who dared me to walk past him on the pier at Bayfront (see the other picture), a dare I didn't take!My walking path from the parking lot at Village Point Park Nature Preserve to the pier at Bayfront Park, but not out onto the pier. Starts in the woods, drops down to the swamp, and then to the beach. Beautiful day today.
