Stuffed & roasted the fuck out of these beautiful large tomatoes tonight. Didn’t get a photo of after because they didn’t last long enough. Delicious

Three absolutely gorgeous tomatoes, innards scooped out to leave space for being stuffed, sitting in a dish of olive oil and dusted with seasonings. You could have comfortably fit your fist inside each one.

What scene makes you emotional no matter how many times you see it? It’s something of a running joke among folks who know me that this entire movie sets me off weeping basically from the opening credits, it’s frankly a Pavlovian response at this point

The scene from “The Sixth Sense” (1999) where, stuck in traffic behind a fatal bicycle accident, Cole (Haley Joel Osment) finally opens up to his mother Lynn (Toni Collette) about his secret.

One thing I’m really going to miss when I get back to London is being able to see all these beautiful stars in the night sky

A vast starry expanse of sky above a misty, slightly backlit silhouette of a tree line

Managed to get into an astoundingly beautiful showing of Lawrence of Arabia. They simply do not make them like this any more

The title screen to 1962’s Lawrence of Arabia projected on a large cinema screen

Boob soap™, the only soap that leaves you feeling dirtier than when you started

Mum’s latest home improvement wheeze has been to install this extremely boob-shaped hand soap… holder… dispenser… thing above the kitchen sink

The soap holder in question. It’s a sort of metal bracket screwed into the wall above the sink. The cream-coloured bar of soap itself is ovoid in shape and is angled downward. There is a metal nipple that prevents the soap from slipping off the bar it has been skewered on, which gives the whole contraption the air of a single, large, voluptuous breast dangling over the washing up zone.

Doing the village festival circuit at the moment, and a nice underrated touch is every single village, no matter how small, has their own little themed reusable cups which help to fund the events

A cup of beer with “Comité des Fêtes CADALEN” branding sits on a trestle table. In the background out of focus there are several people enjoying the atmosphere of the evening sunshine

Got to spend a bit of today with this distinguished gentleman, therefore it was a good day

A llama with a head of lettuce in its mouth, mid-chomp. Its bottom teeth and tongue are sticking out, and the position of the lettuce makes it look a little like a big green handlebar moustache, or perhaps a badly-placed bow tie

I remember the US dialect heatmap going round a couple of years ago, and always wanted someone to attempt one of the UK and its ridiculously dense accent variation, although as this link explains that’s a slightly trickier proposition starkeycomics.com/2023/11/07/m...

Well, the flight was delayed by an hour but it’s ok because I still got a nice welcome committee from Monsieur les Crimes & the Sentient Rugby Ball

Didn’t get to snap as many pics as usual as I was too busy dancing my ass off, but goddamn I love the Notting Hill Carnival. Happy 60th anniversary, and here’s to the next 60

A wide street packed side to side with Notting Hill Carnival revellers, in the distance can be seen a couple of decorated lorries carrying massive sound systems, dancers, and party goers

A shot of the Notting Hill Carnival. In the foreground a beaming man in eye makeup is wearing a very fancy gold and pearl crown, decorated to match the detailing on his crisp shirt. In the background we can see other similarly-dressed dancers intermingled with the crowd

Another shot from the same street. In this one there is a woman wearing what appears to be flaming wings with bright orange, pink, and fuchsia plumage

Part of a carnival procession. A pair of 20-foot high shoulder-mounted puppets in bright clothing shining in the bright sunshine

The best one I saw was someone saying they’d bought a Maarva minifig and it was just this:

Without naming the film, say a line that would make any true fan immediately recognise the film

A screenshot of the Bluesky post drafting interface. The screen is filled with text from top to bottom, and clearly continues off the lower edge. There is a post length indicator in the lower right that is solid red and shows that I am forty-nine thousand, eight hundred and thirty-eight (49838) characters over the limit.

I actually think this is one of the few times it’s probably reasonable to not just straight copy the text in the image one-for-one into this image description, but for the sake of the bit here is as much of the text as will fit in here:

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Coming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Can you believe this is happening? - 1 can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amuseme

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice In Chains. There are many excellent choices, but the production on this album is absolutely impeccable and always sticks out in my mind as a result
