I had to take a semi-ish professional photo of myself for a thing and, naturally, I have an outtake to share.
3 panels:
1) Eowyn says "I am no man" and then makes a crazed face before stabbing the Witch-King of Angmar
2) me making a crazed face while holding my book open in front of me
3) Pam from The Office says "They're the same picture."

I love this so much.
Stone sculpture in Antwerp. A boy and his dog sleeping/cuddling with a blanket of cobblestone draped over them. The cobblestone matches the surrounding cobblestone perfectly.

Master of the Griselda Legend
Alexander the Great
Siena, about 1494
Photo taken September 2025 at The Courtauld Gallery, London

Hand on jaunty hip, Alexander is depicted standing on a plinth. He’s got long blond hair, brown boots, pink-red tights and his other hand is resting on his sword (scabbard?). His face reads as bored. There are tents set up behind him, as if a battle has just occurred.

This movie is insane (in a chaotic sort of way). And kinda gross (in a bodily fluids sort of way). Richard E. Grant is a delight to watch (in a “Damn, that man is extra af with a tinge of darkness underneath” sort of way). Hated the lighting (in a The Favourite sort of way). #perioddramas #movies

🎮 Cozy game review: WAX HEADS #CozyGames #CozyGamers #CosyGames
WAX HEADS IS A NARRATIVE COZY GAME WHERE YOU WORK AT A STRUGGLING RECORD STORE.
THE GAME IS PUNK, IT'S QUEER, ITS SOUNDTRACK IS SHOCKINGLY AWESOME, AND IT MADE ME CARE.Three characters from the game: one is a middle-aged guy with wide shoulders and whiskers, another is a woman with grey hair and the third is a young queer woman saying “(REALLY CUTE girl behind me, okay?)”WAX HEADS is a narrative cozy game where you play as an employee at a struggling record store called Repeater Records, owned by a former 80s rock legend. You help customers pick out albums depending on their requests and do various little puzzles. The game is punk and queer and wonderful. It’s vocally anti-AI—it’s even a part of the storyline. I adore the comic bookish art style. (I might just be a sucker for anything hand-drawn.) The soundtrack is legitimately great. Like, shockingly so. The banter between the employees at the store is laugh-out-loud funny.

This game made me want to get emotionally invested in music again—I haven’t felt that way in years. (I got a tattoo of headphones inside my right wrist when I was in college because music was a big part of my life then. Not so much anymore.) It also made me want to finally make a zine, something I’ve never tried but always kind of thought I was too old to do— which is really silly, I know.

Yeah, Wax Heads is really great, big fan. I played it on the Nintendo Switch 2 but I believe it’s available on all major consoles. It was released in early May 2026. And I can’t believe more cozy gamers aren’t talking about it.

Yes. That sounds truly horrendous. Can you imagine just a debacle? #history (Excerpt from Quackery: A Brief History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything that hit a little too close to home)
Lincoln, to his credit, seemed to recognize that the blue mass [mercury tablet] might be making him worse rather than better, and he apparently decreased his use once he entered the White House. And not a moment too soon. One shudders to imagine a mercury-toxic, pathologically moody leader of our nation calling the shots during the Civil War.

I always thought Caroline of Brunswick should get a biopic. Now I’m 100% certain it’s a full-on crime if she doesn’t get a movie. This book is fun, it’s got intrigue and drama, Italian villas, and stars a baddie. Fantastic. Someone adapt this right the heck now. #booksky #history #nonfiction 💙📚
