We’ve been a little overwhelmed of late with a foster dog. A neighbor found a Doberman? pup in the street and we’ve been caring for him while we try and get him home. It’s like having a tornado in our house! He’s very, umm, enthusiastic. I’m a Shiba person so any advice on big breed pups is welcome!

My husband suffered a “widow maker” heart attack years ago. Data from his monitor in the ambulance was transmitted to the hospital and the cardiac team were prepped & ready for him after a short ride. He’s still with me today because of it. Technology saves lives. Distance matters. People will die.

I’ve said it before, but things point to an abandonment of the eastern seaboard. When communities are wiped out, will investors swoop in to buy up huge swaths of decimated properties? Church groups and volunteers can help rebuild homes, but they can’t fix power lines, water lines, sewers, etc.

This is lovely. We should all be so lucky to have a parent like that. I just found out someone I considered a friend kicked her teenage daughter out of the house when she came out. That girl knows she is always welcome in my home! But that’s cold comfort compared to the acceptance of a parent. 💔

Cancelling telehealth coverage for Medicare recipients is beyond cruel. For people who need mental health services in rural areas or access to a provider when unable to leave the house it’s a literal lifeline. And cutting off FOOD for the homebound is unconscionable. I wish I was surprised.

My 21 yo daughter called me today because there’s a measles outbreak in Frankfort, KY & she was worried about her vax status (which is fine). It breaks my 💙 that she is worried about these things, but am also grateful for all the doctors and scientists who are responsible for saving so many lives.

I don’t mean to sound alarmist, but I’m genuinely afraid of another 9/11 type attack. Videos showing Trump and Bibi sunbathing on the beach in Gaza is so offensive. And now all the agencies that might thwart such an attack are lead by morons so it’s unlikely we’d see it coming. Seriously worried.

My family owns two restaurants & Covid has recently swept thru the staff. I sit outside & mask when I go to the bathroom. (Even the cleanest bathrooms are icky - plumes of bacteria get shot into the air every time a toilet flushes.) But I am certainly not stopping now! Just ordered more N95s!
