The rules about not declining any shifts within 35 miles of your residence, and the advice to keep fresh clothes + toiletries in your car so you don't need to go home between shifts? Wtaf, policies need changing along with wages.

They weren't fully closed, just super restricted via advance pre-paid passes that were purchased with match tickets. I assumed they wanted to personally profit from personal vehicles. Parking here today is $10 less than the last Seahawks home game, making me think the East Link works.

Really glad to see this, Kate is a terrific reporter and writer. Among much else, I hope her coverage helps boost the crowd at Reign games. And it sounds like she'll keep covering my favorite kind of Kraken stories. (Also, remember you can log in via the library system if need be.)

You can also dip into the perfect Cafe Allegro and see a lot of my sister-in-law's lovely art. The Ave shouldn't have cars most of the time, and also sorry to all the students who had to listen to my family & I play Remember When about The Ave.

Why not north? We, the Tulalip Tribes, are ready to host the Sonics | Op-Ed
The Sonics fandom stretches far beyond Seattle, and there are hungry NBA fans in B.C., too. Why not build an arena up north?

I want to hear supporters get a call/response of FISHHH / LOCKK around the stadium the way I hear SEA / HAWKSS for hours on those game days. Be the change, I guess, I'll give it a go on getting it started from my balcony later.

One of my favorite things to spot in a garden tbh. Not sure if you have any vegetable beds, but you're sure set up for midsummer pollination!

I earned my gloom and black eyeliner for sure. And it made me a lifelong non-professional advocate for every harm-reducing transportation project I encounter because "cars as murderous public health issue" is hard to back off from once you experience it.

By the time I finished high school, I knew 13. Half were athletes in a single bus crash, all others involved impaired driving. Add one fairly recent death of a colleague and 3 pals who survived incidents with traumatic injuries (one driver, one pedestrian, one cyclist).

@juliareedwa.bsky.social can we please look into getting this type of law passed for WA? I was unaware that most universities can hide this critical information.

Accidentally typed a query into Google again. Not surprised that the terrible AI is incorrect, but am surprised that it managed to be incorrect twice for Nilu Jenks.
A screenshot of Google's idiotic AI results regarding a special election for Seattle District 5. Candidate Nilu Jenks is misidentified as both Neil Jensen and Nilo Jens. The other candidate's name is Julie Kang, which is correct. I suspect what they have each candidate as "focusing on" is also incorrect because it makes little sense.

Somehow bro seems to have become genderless, but with your specific example, "what are we doing here?" is inclusive and nicely communicates exasperation, and adding "man" or another substitute seems unnecessary unless you are channeling The Dude. Edits like that often the best choice.

My spouse will get on the Bloodworks NW Tree of Life (100 gallons) in 3 more donations, but for now, he just proudly showed me his newest badge of honor.

My cousin is a high school band teacher on the Eastside and today the kids were scheduled for a big thing at the Husky stadium. So they took light rail. I think sousaphones and bass drums got a van ride from school to station? Everyone else rode all kitted out. We're a real city now.

There is a sports betting app set up across the street by the Seahawks stadium giving out free hot dogs once you download their app and, I quote, get your bag. Sports betting is illegal in WA unless you're at a tribal casino. I don't understand some things about modern life.
