I'd like to pretend this is a rare occurance. But it isn't. Unfortunately.

And for my next trick, I’ll write 60k in a week so I can get the draft to my editor in time.

Going viral is not a valid business plan. But, dang, it would be a nice perk right about now.

If this year could chill the fuck out for half a second, that would be great. I want to make just ONE promised deadline on time. Just one.

The best part of having no reach here is I can say I have a surprise book coming out on the 13th/14th and no one will even see it.

Tired and sad and just want to bed rot today.

Sheryl Weikal says Prosecute ICE @leftistlawyer.com · 18/01/2025

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge). You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*

I think I might legitimately need to limit social media use for the foreseeable future. My anxiety is way too high right now.

150

Jillian Rink @jillianrink.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

I did not, in fact, work on my #omegaverseromance portal fantasy today. I instead doom scrolled for ten hours until my belly hurt from the anxiety. Whoops. 📚💙

Good morning #booksky 💖 Working on my omegaverse portal fantasy today while trying to drown out the existential dread. What’s everyone reading/writing today?

I used to love reading dystopian fiction in high school. Reaaaaally not enjoying living through dystopian reality as an adult.

Think I figured out (at least in part) why the first bit of this book isn’t working. I suppose people are going to get more Callum POV than I thought!

Planning on spending tomorrow unplugged as much as possible and making significant headway in the mortal fantasy draft. #booksky 🌶️📚

I can’t afford to figure out a secondary anxiety med right now. 😫 But it’s bad enough I literally can’t sleep.

Having huge insomnia the last several days. Not sure yet if it’s a manic episode or just -gestures broadly at the room around us-. Suppose I’ll know in another week or so.

Fragile Heart just hit 100 reviews on Goodreads and is still floating above a 4 star average. So I guess it wasn't a complete flop!

I am not watching one single thing produced by or orchestrated by that administration. That's their propaganda. Why would I make it easy on them? Inviting everyone to join me on Jan 20th in doing one thing you love, and one thing they would hate. Joy & spite, y'all. Joy and spite.

So Fragile Heart definitely hasn’t done as well as I’d hoped. Not that it’s been awful just… much quieter than Knot Your Business. I guess Sad Boi Cowboy isn’t the same as Cowboys in general. 😅
